My girls 1st birthday pics

Hey everyone, I've been meaning to do this since the girls birthday, but with a slow internet connection and sick kiddies, it's taken me far longer than I would have wanted. For the girls 1st birthday party we had a cookout in our backyard. It was a "thank you" to all the people who helped us out the first few weeks after the girls birth. The first week my DH was home and the third week my mom was here, but the 2nd week we had people come to our house everyday to help. Anyway, it was a pretty day for their party and quite a few people were able to come. Rachel was really unsure of all those people in the house and was clingy. We brought the highchairs outside for cake and let them go at it. It was a sight to see. Rebekah tore into hers while Rachel was quite dainty about it. We had lots of laughter and fun. We didn't do gifts just because it would have been too much for the munchkins.

This past year has been such a blessing to our family now that the girls are a part of it. It was very hard at first...it's all a blur! Now it is so much fun! I was told a lot that the first six months are hard and then after that it is easier. Well, that is so true! The girls are so much fun to be with during the day and they just laugh and fight and smile and cry! I couldn't imagine life without them. We truly are blessed.
