Sarah was playing with a styrofoam rectangle that came in a box. She had been tearing off little pieces and putting them in one of her cooking pots and acting like she was cooking peas. A few minutes later she came to me and said she had a booger in her nose and when I looked, that's what I thought too. After a few minutes of trying to get it out, I figured out it was a piece of styrofoam  I was able to suck it out, but it was a pretty good size piece. Thank goodness I got it out, but she fought me the whole time!

When my girls were sticking stuff up their nose...they would realize that they didn't like the sensation. I told them to keep blowing out of their nose when I closed the other nostril....worked fine.

She may do it again...they stop doing it after a few weeks.

This is one thing I will never understand about kids... why do they eat things and stick things in their nose that don't belong?

Dani has been jamming her fingers and crayons in her nose lately.

I am happy to hear you were able to get it out!

Mine stuck corn up his nose once. We had to do some serious blowing to get it out. Thankfully he was 2 when this happened, and could understand how to blow.

Silly kids! Josh stuck a Magnetix ball up his nose when he was 3. Luckily they are magnets, so I grabbed another magnet and it came right out!

Cara got a popcorn kernel stuck up her nose and we couldn't get it out, so we had to go to urgent care to have it removed. Fortunately, the memory of having the doctor pull it out was enough to keep her from doing it again. My cousin, when he was 2, stuck part of a packing peanut in his nose, and no one ever knew it until his breath got really disgusting. Only when my aunt went to have that checked did they discover he had a rotting packing peanut stuck in his nose!

Little round Lego coin here. My oldest did it about 6 months ago. He said he wanted to see how it felt because he knew he wasn't suppose to stick anything up his nose. Go figure.
