My boys are 11 weeks today and yesterday I finally had my first full day alone with them. I know many of you have had to do that a lot sooner but I was always quite fearful and had managed to recruit some help or at least visitors every day. But I'm happy to say I survived. We have a pretty good routine so the predictability helped. The hardest part was having to listen to one of them cry when I was feeding the other... definitely a mental game, but I knew they'd be okay. Anyways, just wanted to share my mini success! :)

That's great. Especially since not only did you make it through the day takin' care of the kiddos solo but that you made it through the day with all you hair still attached to your head...lol.

    Congrats Momma!

Congrats! It's not as hard as we seem to tell ourselves, well most days anyway!

:woo: Congrats! Isn't it amazing how big these accomplishments can be to us?!!? A few weeks ago I took all three kids to the mall by myself. I've done it before-but this was more than just a Target run. The boys have NO stroller, just Annabella. So I took them to the mall, and then out to lunch-solo! It only took me almost 3 years to do that! ;)

Way to go! You'll quickly get into a rhythm and you'll be doing the routine with your eyes closed! At least one of them! ;)

CONGRATULATIONS!!! It is a BIG deal that you accomplished this, not only does it give you confidence but also a sense of independence. Having two babes is LOTS of work, so kuddos to you.

    WOO HOO :)

Congrats! That first day alone is really scary but it gets so much easier, especially as they get older. I'm sure you're relieved that you made it through!

I'm going to try tandem nursing them again next week. Was doing it for awhile but I had help and their latches weren't great at the time.

I found I could nurse one and put the other in their car seat and rock it with my foot to keep them happy. Tandem really didn't work for us till they were about 4 months.

Congratulations! I'm so jealous. My boys are 3.5 months and I still have not spent the entire day and night alone with them. I have gone most of the day alone. I am starting to gain confidence however. The mornings are mellow but the afternoons they are more needy and crankier and it's just so much easier with someone else to help. I dream of a day when I don't have to worry about other people's schedules just to plan my own life. I'm glad to say that I'm no longer scared of them! ;) And I should be on my way to going all day solo.
