My favorite twin moment :)

I just had to share the best twin moment that happened yesterday, and has continued to occur thankfully. Now that they can sit, I like to place them on the floor facing each other with a few toys between them. I was doing something in the kitchen and I heard some serious chuckling (my daughter has a deep chuckle like an old man, it is so funny, whereas my son has a sweet high pitched giggle). I looked over, shocked, because they had only giggled when WE have entertained them. They were looking at each other, making faces and noises and cracking each other up!! My daughter was flaping her hands at her brother as if to get him going. It was the sweetest thing. I got out my video camera and was able to tape them doing this for about 10 minutes. I love that they love each other!!!! I am sure we have so much more to look forward to and it will only get better, but this just melted my heart.

Oh that is so sweet. Mine aren't really playing or sitting up yet, but I love when they are laying on the floor looking at each other making noises and smiling at each other. It is so sweet.

 

That is absolutely adorable!! :wub: I'm so glad you were able to get that on tape.

I remember one time I had set them in their crib to get ready for bed. They weren't sitting or pulling up yet. I hear them giggling at each other so I peek in and see Lauren turn her head away from Emma and then whip it back in a "peek a boo" sort of way. Then Emma started to do the same thing. Priceless.

 

That's so cute. I can't wait for my little guys to do that.

 

I think mine happened today when my DH and I face the 2 girls towards each other, and when the made eye contact, they smiled!!!! It just melted my heart...they do grow up! I never thought the day would come...

 

That is PRECIOUS! Great job for capturing it on camera--that is something I want to do more of!

Mine are only 3 months...my favorite twin "moments" so far are when they coo and smile back at me when I talk and sing to them. DS does this thing where he scrunches his shoulders up in delight and coos in excitement! I love it. DD has a little half smile that just melts me

 

Gosh! Where to start???

My boys are going to be 11 months next week. I LOVE when they are in their gated play area, and I am doing dishes or whatever, and I hear this giggling. I look over and Nicholas is usually on top of Anthony somehow and is trying to kiss him, eat him, lick him, or tackle him(haven't figured out exactly what he is trying to do!), and the two of them find it hilarious!

Or-when they are in their high chairs and they try to grab each other's hands-and laugh.

Or-when I chase them down the hall on my hands and knees and they laugh and crawl even faster!

Or-when dh comes home from work, and puts one on each side of him, under his arms, and they sit and watch TV(this happened today-and the picture was just priceless).

They are just truly amazing. It gets better and better and better. But-savor every moment while they are young-because you are going to blink-and they will be one-and them being so small will be such a distant memory...

What a sweet story!

I think one of my favorite things they are doing right now is when I sit them facing each other and they just get this adorable look on their face like "There you are!" and they'll sit and talk and grab each others arms/hands/feet/face/ears/etc.

My MOST favorite so far was the other night I was feeding them (both on the Boppy, football hold) before bed and Finley was playing with Sullivan's ear. Finley usually rubs his face before falling asleep, so he was headed off to dreamland and Sullivan was giggling away b/c it was tickling him. It was so adorable, I could hardly stand it! So, in the end, Finley drifted off to sleep playing with Sullivan's ear and Sullivan drifted off to sleep giggling b/c he was getting his ear tickled.

Twins are so amazing!

 

So cute!!! I love when my girls play with each other too. No one can make Ana laugh like Meara- one look from her sister send her into such cute giggles.

 

My favorite twin moment was one morning when I heard some soft babbling over the monitor. I tiptoed in their nursery & found both standing in each of their cribs facing each other and playing & babbling back & forth. It was too cute!

 

How precious---Mine arent sitting yet, but when they were first released from the Nicu and sent home I always layed then in the bassinet facing each other while sleeping--One day I went to check on them and there they lay facing one another wide awake, staring at each other, and holding hands. It was so precious--I hope there are many other moments like that one :wub: --I have a pic to remind me

when they were newborns I'd put the 2 of them in the crib for a nap or to bed and we'd put them (swaddled up mind you) at nearly opposite ends of the crib...I'd go in to check on them and Abby would be asleep on Ian's shoulder!

 

That is adorable... I'm looking forward to that!
mine just turned 3 months...so thus far one of my favorite things, is in the morning when they wake up and i got to the cribs, and get a big ol' smile from both of them... the "oh Mom i'm so glad you are here" type of smile.... melts my Heart!!!!

I agree w/ the morning wake-up -- I love when they both wake up happy and smiling at the door as they hear me come in...
My ultimate favorite, though, has been when we tandem nurse. It is the ONLY time they will fall asleep with me (they will not fall asleep walking, rocking, etc.) and I just adore when they hold hands or cuddle together. I try not to let them fall asleep while nursing, but sometimes I just can't help it...they are too cute and comfortable. It makes me want to freeze time...they are growing up so fast!
Ok, here's one more favorite - when DS calls on his baby "brovers" and tells other people about them, he is so proud of them both. Ok, last one for real - when I pick them both up and DS says, "Mama...Don't Drop 'em" and gives me a look like I"m crazy for even attempting to pick up these wiggle-worms at the same time. It's really sweet and caring of him b/c usually he's all rough and tough, not even thinking about being careful. I could go on and on, though, everyday something else hits me about how blessed we are!

The other morning I got the two of them out of bed and sat down with one on each knee. They looked at each other and started cracking up laughing. It made me start laughing.
