My DS tore his foreskin

My poor sweet 4yo DS was telling DH how his penis was hurting. We took a look at it and it looks like the foreskin is starting to retract (he's uncircumcised), and part of it looked tore. I'm thinking he was probably playing with it too much and it got pulled back. Anyhow, is there anything I can do for him? I put some neosporin on it and am hoping that it will heal up over night while he is sleeping. You can definitely see how part of it is starting to retract while the other part is not (about 3/4 and 1/4). If it's still hurting tomorrow I might call the peds, but thought I would ask here first.

I cringed at reading your post title. I'm afraid I don't have any better advice. I think you did the best you could for now. I would definitely call the ped in the morning and ask if there's anything you should do.

My boys are not circ'd either, but seem to be pretty well retracted (not all the way, but enough for lots of 'playing').

I hope it heals quickly and doesn't continue to bother him. Yee-ouch!

I would imagine that like when they are circ'd you just put neosporin on it and wait. So, I think you did the right thing. You can call, certainly - OUCH! :hug: Poor Boy!
