My diapers expired!

DH picked up a box of diapers on the way home from work tonight. When I opened them I saw the sticker with the expiration date of 12-31-06. Can diapers really expire? I needed to use them, so they're on the kids tonight...they better work!

Interesting! How can a diaper expire?

Just for curiosity sake, I'd have to contact the manufacturer and ask HOW???

 

If they're anything like the ones we have here, maybe the cartoon for the characters on them stopped airing

If they are Pampers or Luvs, I think it's just that the Pampers points program expired 12/31/06.
I don't think diapers expire.

 

My guess is that if they were pampers that the sticker inside was for their gifts to grow program and the codes do expire. Could that be it?

 

Like pp said, sounds like the date on the Pampers Gifts to Grow program. But the program does not end till I think 3/2008 now and I have been able to enter all my 12/31/06 codes and it takes them.

 

Ditto the PP's. If it's Pampers, it's the Gifts to Grow code. If you see a big long string of letters and numbers on the sticker, that's what it is. I thought the same thing at first! FYI, if you start doing the Gifts to Grow, you can still enter the codes even though the date says 12/31/06.

I wouldn't think diapers themselves would expire, but who knows??

 

Thanks for all your responses. I never heard of the pamper's gifts to grow, but that's probably what it was. It was a box of pampers. Inside the box the diapers were in plastic bags and on the plastic bag there was this sticker which had the expiration date. Strange.
