Today I was gone from 12:30 to 5:45 (baby shower for my SIL an hour and a half away!) and DH watched the girls all by himself. He is an awesome dad, I anticipated no problems, and there wasn't anything major that happened. Anyway, when I got home he said "I don't see how you do this all day! You are a supermom!" I asked if he was able to do the dishes, or laundry, or start dinner or clean up at all, any of the things that I would have already done, and he said "no way, I was just taking care of the girls!" It actually made me think that maybe I am supermom!!! You know, when you're just in the thick of it and take care of everyday things, you don't really think about everything that you accomplish in a day. This was so nice to hear! He made my day! Just had to share!! :p

What a great DH and Daddy!!

I love it when my DH tells me that he doesn't know how I manage every day, all day! It is wonderful when they realize just how difficult it can be!

You are a supermom! I can't get anything else done when I am taking care of the boys and my husband can't understand it.

You are a supermom and you know it, but it feels better when it is actually recognized, specially from dh!!!

Sometimes is a good idea to leave to see what it is like...actions speak better than words :D

That's awesome that DH recognized you for doing all the work you do! My DH does it on rare occasions but is getting better about it.

What I really like is when my SAHM friend's comment on how they don't know how I get all the housework done, work fulltime, and take the older DD to indoor and outdoor soccer and gymnastics. Even better when my friend with older twins says something. That really makes my day! ;)

I think it's easy for the DHs to take us for granted. It's tough work. I love going away for extended periods, so that when I get back he has some clue of what my days are like.
