My delivery after bedrest story

    My baby story.
    I was at my weekly OB appt on Wed. All seemed fine, dilated at 5, but contractions were irregular and slow to come.
    I went home and no progress. Thurs I started to feel more intense contractions, but still irregular. My doc had me come in. Still 5cm, but positive protein and high BP equals PIH. Time to deliver.

    After pitocin drip was started labor and delivery took less than 4 hours. Thank goodness for epidurals. Baby A was vertex, and Baby B was breech, which we knew, so my doc planned on manually removing him. It seems icky, but why deliver A el natural, then do a C section for B unless an emergency.

    Baby A Brady weighed in at 5lb,6oz 18.5 in

    Baby B Danny weighed in at 5lbs even 19in
    35 weeks and 3 days

    Both are still in hospital for some feeding issues along with jaundice. There blood glucose levels are running low, and sucking reflex is still not fully developed, therefore I had to leave my new babies for a couple more days. I'll more than likely get them back on Monday. Then starts the real fun.

    Congratulations! So exciting. I hope the babes become strong little suckers and come home soon. I hope you are feeling well too and that the manual turning didn't hurt too much!
