My Boys Came(Sad)

On October 23rd at about 9:30pm my water broke! Off to the hospital we rushed. At 3:01am Christopher Stuart made his appearance via a vaginal delivery. At 3:14 Cayden James made his appearance at 3:14am. Both boys were born extremely anemic. Cayden had no heart beat in utero when they went to check for it after Christopher came. Both boys put up a good fight and Christopher came out on top. Cayden fought so hard but there was just too much wrong. Had he made it he would only had a 1% chance at a normal life. So at 7pm on October 27th my family and I made the decision to pull him off life support. His life ended comfortably in my arms at 9:55pm.
I won't go into details but there was nothing else anyone could have done. We don't know what happened and probably never will. Sometime in the last week of my pregnancy Cayden wasn't getting enough oxygen or blood.
So please hold your children a little bit closer and never let them go because no matter what you do in the end you never know what will happen.

When you're ready, please post in our Parental Grief forum. There are many of us there who have lost one of our twins and have experienced the range of emotions you are probably feeling. We will be there for you anytime you want to cry, scream, rant, whatever. Read through the Our Stories sticky at the top and you'll see that though you may feel alone, you are not alone on your new path.

PM me if you'd like. My Olivia was unexpectedly still born at 30 weeks; we delivered that day so her sister did not suffer the same fate. It can be such a confusing time!

I'm so sorry for the loss of Cayden, yet i want to congratulate you on the birth of the babies. I ditto what Jen said and please join us in the PG forum... sometimes it's comforting to know that others have been there and are grieving with you. Although it never takes the pain away, it does help to know your not alone. And you can pm me as well if you want... i lost taylor at 37 weeks somewhere in a four hour time span due to possible IUGR that developed late in the pregnancy that was missed. She held on as long as possible and we delivered soon after we found out to make sure parker would survive. :sorry:

This makes me sick. I am soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo sorry. I remember us having the "talk" about you wanting them at 36 weeks. I remember how much grief you got here at TS. I am wondering if you had a gut feeling, afterall. I'm soo sorry.

I cannot begin to imagine what you are going through.
