My boys arrived!

Hello everyone! While I have a brief second...I wanted to announce that my boys arrived via c/s on October 18, 2007!

Nicholas Gabriel weighed 6lbs13oz and Anthony William weighed 6lbs 3oz. They are both doing great! Anthony spent 7 days in the NICU after a nurse and myself noticed a change in his breathing pattern...While there-they noticed a heart murmur-he has a very small hole in his heart which will be followed up on. He also had some fluid in the lungs. They didn't think it was pneumonia, but in the end they couldn't rule it out-which is what kept him in the NICU for 7 days for the meds...He also has a sachral dimple on his back-but the spinal u/s came back clear...as well as the kidney u/s because he has hypospadia which he will need surgery for within the year...And he had a CT scan on his head because he was breech the whole time-and that came out clear. SO! It was a very stressful first week. Nicholas and I were discharged on Monday and Anthony was discharged Saturday. Anthony left weighing 5lbs14oz and Nicholas left weighing 6lbs6oz.

The c/s went very well-I was up and moving the next day. I would do it again in a heartbeat-pregnancy and everything else! LOL! And my boys are only 10 days old! LOL! I am pumping b/m and that's going well...It was too stressful trying to feed one and visit another in the NICU and Nicholas didn't really take to the breast that well and I was super frustrated and stressed...

congrats!! don't stress about a schedule this early...none of my kids have been on a schedule prior to 3.5 months.... Just do whatever you need to do to get rest...if that means they nap in their swings or strapped into their car seats, or on a blanket on the floor with you then so be it!! Things will get better in the sleep department, they really will!!
