My boys are one!

I can't believe how fast this year has gone. Thank you all so much for the support and friendship through the ppd, the sleep deprivation, the trying-to-figure-out-how-to-be-a-mom, etc. etc. You all have been wonderful, and I think without your wit, compassion, and camaraderie, I might have just gone insane.

But, this isn't about me, this is about them. Joel and Roman were born a year ago today after a very long labor and an emergency c-section. They were full term, handsome little dudes (if I do say so myself). They both looked just like their daddy--but nothing like each other.

Now, they are still rather handsome little dudes, they both look just like their daddy, and nothing like each other.
Roman walks short distances, Joel tries to walk but starts laughing and falls down. Both crawl, stand, and climb.
Joel says "mama, dada, bubba, ya, nigh-nigh, and uh-huuuuh!" (he also barks at the dogs and sometimes Moooos when I ask him what the cow says)
Roman says "mama, dada, bubba, Oh-Baaaaaa-maaaa" (hee hee, we had fun around election time teaching him that one) and barks at the dogs
Roman's favorite game is climbing things he's not supposed to, and Joel's favorite game is Peekaboo.

They are a treat. Every day.

I remember first joining TS and seeing your belly pixs… and hoping I would “blossom” as good as you did… now to see you move to the 1-4 in so surreal… its just a reminder how fast it goes, and that we will be there to soon…

I have always loved your beautiful pictures, comical stories, and your refreshing take on motherhood. I would tell you I'll miss you, but I have been on so little that I already miss everyone!

Happy Birthday boys!!! It HAS flown by and I have loved watching you two grow! Such sweeties... I love that hair!!!

 

Oh my gosh! I will miss you over here, hope you'll pop over. Actually I only have a month to go so I'll be seeing you soon I get all mushy reading your post and looking at the photos of your little ones growing up. It's just so incredible, isn't it? Thanks for sharing the pics and all their latest milestones. Keep up the good work momma!
