My boys are here

    Just wanted to announce we had our little boys on January 27th

    Owen Alexander 5lbs 5oz 18inch born @ 8:21am
    Rhys Allen 5lbs 13oz 18inc born @ 8:22am

    The c/section went well and both babies arrived that morning without problems .Later on in the day, Rhys had a couple of apneic spells, enough where a pediatric arrest code was called so he spent tues/wed in the level 2 nursery...yesterday he seemed to have cleared up whatever issues he was having and has been doing great ever since then, we do have an apnea alarm here but only expect to use it for the weekend.

    Owen has been doing fantastic and both boys are learning to nurse like champs. Its amazing how different they already are....Owen is our screamer, he hates not to be swaddled and eats in a hurry....Rhys is definitely more laidback and could take hours to eat if allowed. And they are definitely frats...Owen has darker hair and small features, while Rhys is lighter with a longer face and a cleft chin

    I am feeling mostly back to normal....several hr after the c/section, I started heavy vag bleeding with baseball sized clots...they tried different meds to get my uterus to tone but it stayed boggy and my OB felt like a transfusion would just boost me until the bleeding stopped...which it did later on wed night. The docs had intially wanted us to stay until tomorrow but both Rhys, Owen and I are doing so well now , we decided to come home today.

    I am so glad you and the boys are doing so well!!! Congrats on your delievery. Wtg keeping them in there so long. Your boys are absolutely adorible! Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!
