My boys are here

Just a very quick update.

My boys: Daniel Clarence and Benjamin Mark arrived last night at 7:33 and 7:35 pm by c-section. Daniel was 3 lbs. 4 oz and 16 inches long. Benjamin was 3 lbs. 7 oz and 16 inches long. They were both taken to the NICU immediately (although I did get to hold both of them very quickly). They are both doing well considering they were born at only 30 weeks. And I am recovering quite well from my c-section. I just got back from seeing them for the second time since they were born last night. What an emotional rollercoaster. They are both too perfect for words and I feel completely overwhelmed with emotion.

wow... I don't remember what your situation was...was this a complete shock to have them born so early, or did things go downhill suddenly for some reason??

WOW! Congrats! I was following your story since we are close in our due dates and was so shocked you had your babies. I am also so shocked that so many of you women get back on the computer so quickly to provide updates. That's awesome! I'm impressed! Take care of yourself and keep us posted.

 

Wow I knew you were having problems with contractions and were put on bedrest- but the boys coming! I didn't expect that! Congrats, and I hope they have a short stay!!! Let us know the details when you are feeling up to it!

Please visit us in the NICU forum for any support you need during your NICU stay (we have all been there) and any questions you have. There are many of us over there who know exactly what you are going through.
