My boys are here!

My boys are here!!! It's taken me a little while to come here and let you all know but here's the birth story. For those that don't know, I was placed on bedrest starting at 24 weeks until I was 36 weeks pg. I know this made a HUGE difference in the well being of my boys Anyone on bedrest now, I just have to say, it's so worth it!! The babies didn't have to be in the NICU at all, in fact they were in my room with us the whole time.

Monday the 21st (I was 38week 3 days pg) I had just received a call from my OB office telling me about scheduling my induction date for the 25th. right after that call I got ready to go to my NST appointment. As soon as I grabbed the keys to the truck to head out the door I felt a trickle. I went to the bathroom and there was clear liquid. I put on a pad and went to my appointment. I wasn't positive it was my water breaking so I just continued on. DH got there and I told him that I thought my water had broke because I kept feeling a trickle of liquid. He was a little shocked but I figured the doctor's office was a pretty good place to be if indeed it was my water breaking. As soon as the NST nurse got me in I told her what I thought and she told my doctor who promptly sent me to L&D.

We went home first and gathered our things. I wasn't having any painful contractions so we weren't in too big of a hurry. We got to the hospital and they set me up to monitor me. I was then starting to have more frequent and slightly more painful contractions. I was still dilated to 2. They finally got me into a birthing suite. The contactions increased and got very painful when I couldn't take it anymore I called my nurse to check me and I was dilated to 5 they gave me the epidural. It was awesome. I felt so much better I couldn't believe it. When I finally got dilated to almost 10 they took me into the operating room for a vaginal delivery since both boys were head down. After my epidural the only thing I felt were the really big contractions. Mostly in my back with Andrew and then in my stomach when I was pushing Nathan out. Nathan hurt worse than Andrew and I thought he'd be easier since I had just pushed his brother out.

Andrew Christoper was born May 22nd @ 2:30am. He weighed 6lbs 5oz and was 20.5" long
Nathan Thomas was born May 22nd @ 2:44am and weighed 5lbs 11oz and was 19" long

They are both very happy and they are great babies!!!

How adorable! Cute boys and congrats! I give you and everyone else taht delivers them naturally many many props as I had my boys c-section. I was one of those chickens that didnt want to deliver both ways. Anyays, congrats on healthy babies! Have tons of fun with them!

WOW! What a great story! They look incredible! I am sure that it was no fun being on bedrest, but I am sure that thier health is attributed to you taking such good care of yourself! Congratulations!
