MY BOYS ARE HERE!!!!!

On Monday night, at about 6PM Beth had one bad headache and was swollen like never before, so she checked her BP..... 170/117 YIKES!!!!!! She checked 5 times cause we didn't believe the machine. We went to the hospital, her BP went down, but once she was seen they decided she needed to be delivered within 24-48hrs, as she was pre-eclamptic, we got scheduled. She was admitted for the night, and the next morning we saw her doc, and she said "today's the day". We were scheduled for 4:30 but waited untill about 6. And after a great Spinal (no pain at all she said) and a great C-Section) We we're blessed with 2 crying boys!

They both had Marconiam(sp?) fluid, but were fine, they did rush them both to special care for moitoring though as a precaution because Nicholas was pale, by 9pm Beth was out of recovery and the boys were with us in our room!

I like a fool!!!!!! I'm the proudest dad EVER!!!! and they are soooooooooo beautiful. Mom's still al ittle under the weather and her BP is still a bit high, but she's a trooper! 38 WEEKS and 2 DAYS !

here the kicker... NO NICU TIME !!!! AND...... I GOT THE WHOLE WEEK OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

God isso wonderful. Thats all i have to say about that! OK back to the hospital, this was supposed to be a quick stop for clothes! Pics will be up when we all get home!

Make your wife take it easy...you can get preeclampsia again up to 6 weeks postpartum...make her continue to take her bp

 

I smiled when I saw the title of this thread and you as the poster. Congratulations! Glad to hear everyone is doing well. Don't forget Mommy and Daddy need to take care of themselves too!!! Enjoy your new additions!

Awwww, your post warmed my heart. I'm glad they're here and healthy! Like Cassie said make sure she stays on her bp meds and make sure she's takes the pain meds the doctor prescribed for c-section pain. Sorry, I'm quite the bossy mother hen!

Many congrats to you all. I had my boys just 19 days ago and I cried as soon as I heard the first cry of my sons! My husband has been absolutely wonderful with me and our boys in the hospital and once we got home. Life is soooooooooo wonderful and different with new additions to our families. From my personal experience, my husband has helped me so much that I know for a fact I would not have been able to cope without him. You sound like you will be the same!
