Being a parent to twins is one of the greatest gifts I have been given, but I am REALLY having a hard time coping with the body i was given in exchange for the girls. I don't know how long I can take seeing myself in the mirror with this deflated body. I really want a tummy tuck, bad! But I really would like to wait until the twins are atleast 2, but I don't know if I can make it that far.

How many of you are going to, would like to, or have had a tummy tuck?

What would you recommend, besides anti-depessants......

I just don't feel sexy at all....

Oh I am totally going for a tummy tuck, when we decide for definite that we are done having children. I love my girls, but they destroyed the body I used to have.

[SIZE=10pt]I would go in for a tummy tuck (and hips too) in a heartbeat ~ if only insurance covered it. My lil ones are 5 months old and my tummy isn't bouncing back very well. Doc said that it could take upto a year though. I should be more diligent with my exercise, I will ~ when I get a little more time.

If anyone knows of any good exercises to help....would love to know!!

    April :)

Exercise? Who has time for that...between 4 kids a husband and cleaning the house...I really don't have time for any exercise (my fingers are getting some from typing). I do a few leg lifts and I am beat...my knees don't feel the same as they did before I had the twins, sometimes my legs are tingly (?). We just moved into a 2 storey, so really my only exercise is from going up and down the stairs. Oh and carrying those carriers with 15lbs of baby in each. I keep telling myself I probably have alot of muscle under all this flab....

    I hear ya...
I am so sick of looking at my belly. I STILL look pregnant, 10 months later! Everything else looks back to normal (well, except the boobs of course), but my dang belly is still very round. <_< I walk with the boys for at least an hour a day, but it doesn't seem to be working!!!!! I wish I had time to go to the gym!

My exercise consists of playing "super baby" w/ each one 5 times up "super baby" then down for a kiss. then 10 sit up peek-a-boos. yay, they think I am playing, tell myself I am working out. lol :p
My belly seems to go down a little as each month passes, but with the pretty stretch marks I know it will never be the same, not that it has ever been rock hard, it just wasn't so pizza dough. :(

Your knees probably hurt b/c the ligaments loosen up so much during pregnancy, and you are now trucking up and down a bunch of stairs alot. if you continue to have probs you may want to talk to your regular Dr.

I want mine back too! Just remember it took 9 months to put it on so it must take at least 9 months if not more to get it off!

(sigh) I'm SO there with you....what's even MORE depressing is that I ended up almost 60 lbs LIGHTER after my pregancy (the smallest I've been since high school!!) and I STILL look WORSE then when i started!!! How is that possible....AHHHHHH!!!!!

I'm not sure what I miss more, my flat tummy or my boobs. Pregnancy just did a number on my boobs. Not afraid of a mamogram now! I can "spread" my boobs on the shelf. My stomach took a long time to go down. I didn't get a "real" period until about 2 mos. ago - and I noticed my stomach went down alot after that. Maybe yours will too. Your babes are still young - like the other posts said - sometimes it takes up to a year.

I'd love to see my hips find their old home. There's no excersize or surgery for mega hip spread! Oh well, it's worth it. I try to keep remembering that.

I really miss my boobs!!! It makes me sad! Pregnancy/breastfeeding really took it's toll.

I want a tummy tuck and lipo! I hate the way my tummy looks. I still look like I'm 4 mths pg. I can fit into my size 8, some 6, pants but the 'muffin-top' just spills over. Even if I could get my belly back down I'd have to deal with the stretch marks. They are all around my belly button radiating outward and along my sides. Oh, and my belly button looks like its a half innie, half outtie. The top is in and the bottom is out and its shaped like a pear. I HATE IT!! Oh and it definitely, for me, affects 'intimate time'. I don't like to be seen naked which is a downer & I'm so self-conscious about all of the jiggle that I concentrate more on holding it in than on anything else. Its alittle depressing! My husband has agreed to let me get a tummy tuck done in Feb/March of next year. I'm alittle scared but I figured that the month of pain will be well worth it for the next 30 years. I also think that the younger the babies are the easier it'll be. My own bit of rationalizing.

Honestly, I just want to feel like me again!!!

i want to loose some weight but i do little to actually help myself... I am convinced that it will come off sooner or later... 15-20 pounds would be great... i would fit into my clothes better and not be so blah... I can say my stomach went down and if i would loose the weight it would be fine and maybe toned allittle... I have back fat that is my trouble area... I can say i did get stretchmarks but for some reason with my skin tone you can not see them. I have to point them out and i try to refrain from doing that. LOL...

Well I am almost at the year mark and I have gotten down to my pre preg weight, even a few lighter, but the dreaded twin skin tummy is still there. I will probably wait at least another year or two and then I am going to the tummy tuck!

I've had twin skin for nearly 8 years.... you can get used to it. I didn't say like it mind you, but it won't be quite as shocking after you get used to the sight.

I'm going to get a tummy tuck as soon as I get to 160 pounds (or so) and I can keep my weight stable for about 6 months. That's the only thing that will help me. <_<

aaargh!!! I'm soo with you all!!However, my boobies upset me more than my muffin top tummy!! I can't wait till I stop BF although I hven't decided when that would be!!! I want my C cup back and this F cup to go away!!!! And talk about the force of gravity on them...will they ever sit high again? / None of my pre-pregnancy clothes fit me all thanks to these gigantic boobies!!! And i don't want to shop for bigger clothes....it's depressing!

I don't get time to exercise...H**L I don't get time to shower some days leave alone look at myself in the mirror!
But the boys are so worth it!!! Worth the twinskin, worth the stretch marks, the F cup and the horrible fashion sense I have at the moment
