My birth story!

Hello all! Well on March 9th at 9:55 AM Alyssa Jo entered the world (via csection) screaming her 5lb 4oz head off!! One minute later we were joined by Ashley Ann weighing in at 5lbs 6.8oz!! My BP was up really high so it is good we delivered when we did. The girls were exactally 5 weeks early. We had a bit of a scare when Daddy and Ashley almost had to take a helicopter ride to the nearest Level 3 NICU. Ashley came out "grunting" and wasnt able to breath on her own. They did one dose of surfactin (sp?) and put her on a vent. and she was completely off all oxygen by 10 PM and we were holding her 24 hours after her birth and 48 hours later she was completely free of all hoses and wires!!! It was absolutely amazing...we had everyone praying for us and all I can say is GOD IS SO GOOD!! Alyssa was on a feeding tube, but that lasted all of 5 hours and she took off nursing like a pro!! They came home with me five days later!! We are doing great... they are the most laid back lil ladies (for the moment anyway) and are both nursing great... I dare say this is easier than bringing my singleton home (I went through PPD) and I have the most awesome high this time around!! I gotta go now or this would be longer... I will get a pic on as soon as possible! Thanks for all the great advice ladies.. and of course if I can I will still be on here everyday!!

YEAH !!! Congratulations !!! and good job with the nursing. I am not a very religious person, but after I had my twins I remember thinking the same thing you said "GOD IS GOOD" because we received such a MIRACLE (actually 2 of them)
