My birth story

    I had Mya Alisabeth on September 9. I had a C-section, obviously, which was pushed back and she was born at 11:34 am. She weighed 6lbs 15 oz and was 19.5 inches long. My spinal did not take after several tries. My right side became numb but my left side did not. They had begun working on me and I let them know that I could feel everything they were doing. They asked me the typical question and assumed they were right, "Is it a pulling/tugging feeling?" I let them know that it felt like needles going in and out of my skin. They stopped and had to put me under. My DP was waiting to come back but couldn't since they had to put me to sleep. I felt bad for him not getting to see his daughter being born. My spinal finally took effect about half way through the c-section or so they said. Because of that and being put under as well, I was not able to get out of the bed for a full 24 hours. She took to breast feeding quickly and had the sucking method down the day she was born. She is beautiful baby with tons and tons of hair. She sleeps ALOT and doesn't like opening her eyes very much her big brothers adore her immensley.

    Awe, sorry to hear you had to be put under. What a bummer. Same thing happened to my SIL, she could feel everything...ugh!

    Happy Birthday Mya! What a beautiful name...can't wait to see pics!

    I'm so sorry you didn't get the "ideal" birth story but glad that she made a wonderful, healthy arrival and that you are both doing well.
