My Birth Story

So off i was to L&D on 8/29/07 at 3:30am (full moon...), My Dh thought that they were going to just send me home again, but they finally decided to keep me... YAY!!
I had some issue with Labor. contractions not regular even after pitocin but they were dialating me and not bringing A's head down. I was also told that i would not be able to get an Epidural... :blink:
Finally at 6 cm i was told i could get an epidural.. Thank goodness...
Then i overheard the Dr's talking about taking me in for a c-section because i wasn't progressing fast enough. Well when they came in i was 9 cm and 100% Effaced. Just one hour later i was wheeled into the OR to Deliver my babies.
(A) Ethan came at 9:02 pm screaming and weighing 7lbs and 2 oz.
(B) Morgan came at 9:16 pm after her heart stopped. They made me push her out fast. she was 5 lbs and 11 oz. I didnt know, but Morgan was not breathing and her heart wasnt beating. They were doing chest compressions and sucking fluid out of her for what seemed like forever! I had no idea what was going on. So after about 1 min of not hearing her cry.. I asked why she wasnt crying.. But just then she let out a whimper and 2 mins later she was screaming very loudly..

I had no idea that any of this happened. No one told me, Not even DH. My mom who was in the room also told me the next day. Good thing too.. i would have freaked out!!!

All in all i have 2 very healthy babies who are beautiful!!! and i am so thankful to everyone on here who has given me advise over the last few months!!

Thanks for sharing your story and I am so glad that you and the babies are healthy! I am so glad that Morgan came out well, I would have been freaking out too, had they told me!

 

I'm soooo glad your babies have arrived, and both doing great. How is mom feeling?

 

Wow, what an ordeal you have been through and scary about Morgan not breathing and her heart not beating when she was born. Probably best no one told you until later. They are precious and have LOTS of hair. Hailey looks so proud holding her brother and sister. B) Good luck to you!

Congrats! I've been checking daily to hear this story! I'm glad they didn't tell you about Morgan right away. Sometimes it's better to be in the dark...at least for a little while. So happy they are both doing well now! Don't forget about us in expecting as you venture on to the first year forum!

no heart burn at all............. and i am okay... today is the 1st day with Hailey... shes been respectful so far and she is very excited about her babies

They are absolutely precious! I just love their names. How scary about Morgan, but I'm glad that all was fine in the end! Sounds like a great birth otherwise! I can't believe how much hair they have and how dark it is! They are SO cute!! CONGRATULATIONS!

You are an inspiration! You went so close to your due date and carried two precious little ones safely into this world! You must be so thrilled! As with eery birth things hardly ever go as planned or expected, but the important thing is that your little ones are her safe and sound!

Your story makes all the aches, pains and stress seems worth it!

I love the pictures of your little ones! What a proud looking big sister! I am hoping that our 3 year old will look as happy to see her little brothers!
