well, ladies, it's late and I have 2 restless girls, but I will try to make this short and sweet. So I posted a message on june 12th that the doc was taking my girls at 5pm. Once I got to the hospital I was hooked up to IV and the nurses did their thing, the doc came in and said the girls are active, your BP is down---wana wait and see if you go in labor? you're even contracting nicely. Now, my parents had raced a 3hr drive and made it at 505, DH was there, my son..I thought about it, I really wanted to eat RYANS that weekend, but I was like, ehh, Im here, the IV hurt like hell and I really dont want to do it over..lets do this..
So, I was terrified of the spinal, and it went great. Besides feeling of nausea, and my BP kept dropping. That part Id actually do again, or maybe I just had a great anesthesist. I was actually laughing before they cut me open. DH came in with me and lucky me he didnt pass out. He didnt cut the umbilical cord either, they asked him, DAD do you want to cut the cord, I never heard him say NO so fast.. The entire OR room laughed.. At 544 Olivia, 5lbs 5 oz was born, and within the same minute Sophia, 5lbs 1oz, was born but they say 545...Sophia needed a little help breathing..Olivia was my little turd while utero..Gave the nurses heck on the NST..
They werent named until 2hours before we left the hospital Monday. Cecilia and Delilah didnt fit them when they came out, but now they are living up to their personalities. So they would have We were supposed to be discharged monday morning but the girls had a touch of jaundice and we left at almost 6pm...I was discharged and they were going to let me stay in the room with the girls if they werent released due to their jaundice levels if I wanted....but we all came home...At 2 weeks Olivia is now 6lbs 4oz, and Olivia is now 5lbs 11oz..I do have a dark twin and a light twin..DH is White and Im black..We talked about the what if and it would be funny, ironic but never expected it to actually happen.. People ask me, how can I tell them apart, Im like Are you serious??!!? However, I do occasionally call the girls the wrong name..

I needed a little help BF'in so the doc prescribed me meds for it..and its going good, I pump more than nurse...

Take note from me, dont try to be a champ after surgery and drink water or sprite, you just might upchuck and have to start all over on hydration..I thought I felt fine and was so happy to finally get somethin to drink after what seemed like a week of starvation. Afterwards I felt like the drunk in the bunch that tries to act sober, but he is closer to calling the porcelain god than anyone else in the group..

Sophia Ayanna is the smaller and more tan baby... and Olivia Simone is my little meaty not so tan baby.. DH was upset that I didnt spell Olivia with an A, 'Alivia', so the girls could have the same initials in different order. But umm, Olivia's initials would have been A.S.S. and I reallly didnt want to do that to her.
Recent updates, I had a cyst that was on the outside, that suddenly started growing after my surgery, and was growing towards my incision..I felt awful the first week home from the hospital, so this past wednesday, the doc lacerted it and drained it.. I have had many teary days, LADIES MAKE SURE you have a schedule and some sort of break or help planned. I tried to be turbo and occasionally Im still guilty. But I wanted other people, DH esp to think about my and my health when I wasnt thinking about my health bc I was pulling 2 flights of stairs and hardly sleeping....I can give many stories that I learned in my first 2 weeks. But we have had many fights, Ive had many teary days and nights. the first night home for me was HELL, the girls were eating at seperate times that night, I got them off schedule, new mom after 14years, and I forgot everything, not to mention having 2 babies and I needed to be cared for myself, so to save my sanity by the 3rd day, something had to change. Things are much better now...Especially since we went back to swaddling last night, Amen Hallelujah!
Sorry, I didnt finish the message until this afternoon, got sidetracked. LADIES, thanks for everything...Crazy part, Im already 10lbs show of my pre-pregnancy weight..

    Congrats!!

For the first photo you posted, I have a very similar photo of my girls when they were a few days old. They were facing each other like that, sleeping, when Carlie was holding Claire's hand. It is a priceless picture.

    Hi Ladies,
Thanks for the congrats, I apologize for the belated gratitude, but we have closed on the house, moved in, and just got internet transfered like yesterday...Sparkle, can't wait to see pics...

Funny thing, I had NOOO idea how to change a girl's diaper, still mess up every now and then. Give me a break, it's been 14years since I had a kid, not to mention that 'kid' was a boy..Sigh..

See, many of you over in first year, anddd I will still lurk the expecting forum of course..
