    Hi Ladies,

I'm 24 weeks, only gained 14 pounds so far. Anyway, I finally measured my belly and it's a whopping 43 inches!! WOW [IMG]
I just want to know how much bigger I can expect to get as I progress into my 3rd trimester?

What's your biggest measurement so far or when you had your twins?

    TIA!!

Hee hee! I'm laughing because I was about that size at 24 weeks and because I've been having fun with these numbers. Congratulations! I'm 33 weeks and 50 inches; at their last peri u/s, they measured over 4 1/2 pounds each. I've been betting that I would get as big around as I am tall (62 inches), but I don't think that will happen. Enjoy!

The belly is measured in cms, not in inches, so you're 43 cm (top - down). I was 43 cm at 38 weeks ... and delivered 2 almost 8 pounds babies. With my first I measured 38 cm at 41 weeks and she was over 9 pounds. So the measurements don't necessarily say something about the size of the babies ... at least that's what I learned.

I think you're talking about the measurement AROUND your tummy, right? I'm 30 weeks and measuring 44 inches around. This kind of measurement is hard to compare with others because we all start out with different waist measurements (and carry differently as well). My fundal height (height of my uterus) is 38 cm. !!

Also, as far as fundal height goes, most women pregnant with singletons don't ever measure 40 cm, because we start to "drop." The highest most get is probably around 37 to 38 cm. (although there are some exceptions). I think with DD I only got to 36 or 37 cm.

I'm curious about this too. I start off with a 28 inch waste and last week I measured 36", but that was in the morning. I'm sure it's more at night. With my singletons 44" was as big as I got, so I'm curious to see how it will go with twins as well. BTW, I'm 5'7" 150lbs., not pregnant.

Funny that you posted this because I was curious yesterday and found a measuring tape. I am 21 weeks and measure 40 inches! I could not believe it. [IMG]

I messured 56inches [IMG] I am only 5'3'' and a am pretty small. Now wheh I look back at pictures of me when I was pregnant, I can't even believe it. I don't remember being that big.

Thanks ladies for the responses. It's so much fun reading all the different measurements!! yes, I was talking about the inches AROUND my belly like the way you measure your waist. Just like Stephanie I was just curious and looked for a measuring tape LOL [IMG]

I think my waist was 30 inches pre-pregnancy, and I'm 64 inches tall (just 2 inches taller than you debby!! - so funny we must look similar at 24 weeks!!)

I can't wait to continue to monitor my progress, I want to see if I make it to the 56 inches that Darling did, lol. I'm only one inch taller than you, it will be realy a hoot to measure when I'm ready to deliver [IMG]

Okay, this really has me thinking now. I'm going to have to find a tape measure tomorrow. When we were at the PERI today, he did say that I should expect my biggest and fastest growth to happen between 26 and 32 weeks. He said I will get bigger after that, but not at the same speed. I thought, "I already feel huge. How am I possibly going to get any bigger and still be able to move around?" I've never known anyone while they've been pregnant with twins ~ so this is ALL completely new to me.

I am 60 1/2 inches tall. I started off with a 31 inch waist, When I was measured the day I was induced i measured 60 1/2 inches AROUND. I was litterally a ball with legs!! I still look at the plaster cast I made of my belly and am amazed I stretched that much.
