Finally saw the final doctor out of 8 potential delivering docs! LOL!... Nothing major new this appointment... I liked him though..so that leaves like 4 docs I really like...1 doc I thought was good...and 3 docs that were just so-so, kind of didn't like... I figure the odds are in favor of me getting one of the ones I liked... My belly is measuring just 33 weeks, but I still think this kid is going to be big. They are definitely letting me go past 40 weeks if I need to...most of them won't push to schedule a c/s until 42 weeks. So that makes me happy as a clam! no pressure!! I still think I'll go before 40 weeks, but the pressure of HAVING to go by 40 weeks would probably have made me late! LOL! I can't believe it but they are starting my internal checks next week...so I'll have weekly appointments starting next week. For some reason I thought I'd have another 2 weeks until my next appointment. Maybe b/c I'm vbac?..or maybe b/c this is my third kid?...or maybe b/c I have had some bh ctx that I've mentioned... who knows. Anyway, they will do the group B strep culture next week...I'm really praying it comes out negative. If I don't have it then I won't need the IV during labor. I had it when I was pg with my first dd, and remember laboring while tied to an IV pole was a real pain in the neck. They do recommend putting in a dry IV lock just in case of emergency..which I'm okay with. Just depends how far along I am when I get to the hospital I guess!! (My id. twin sister had a 3 hour labor for her second dd... by the time they went to put in her IV she could not stay still at all. Her nurse tried six times before giving up, then my sister pushed out her baby in just a few minutes! Later the nurse apologized profusely for all the attempts and all the bruising...they thought my sister was at a 4 and she was really at a 10!! Anyway, my sister laughed and said no need to apologize...the pain in her arms distracted her from the pain of her contractions!! All the same I'm not really hoping for a repeat of that scenario!! )

Sounds like a great appt. I'll post my update here shortly.

There's so much to think about when trying for a VBAC. My OB/midwife team insists on having the heplock (dry IV) too but hopefully it never gets hooked up to anything. Here's hoping we both have labors like your sister's.

    Good luck with your culture!

Excellent appointment! I've been going in for appointments weekly since 32 weeks. That could be because of the GD though.
