My boys are doing great on their physical development. First, Eli rolled over at 2 months, and then Mark rolled over at 3 months (although he got lazy at 4 months and stopped rolling for a bit). They sat up, steadying themselves with their arms, somewhere around 3-4 months, and they did the army crawl/inch worm crawl at 5.5 months and quickly progressed to standing at 6 months. By 7 months they were cruising, and now Mark is walking!!

They both have been taking one step, but last week Mark took his first consecutive steps. I took me a week to catch him on video, but I got it. Daddy's camera skills are a little shaky, and Mommy's coaching and cheering leading are probably a little annoying, but we managed to catch him twice. It's funny because Eli was closer to walking, but now he's scared and prefers to cruise, so I guess he won't be walking until 9 months.

We also taught them to clap their hands. It took me months to get them to do it, and finally they got it.

I'm so proud of them, so I am gratuitously bragging. :)
    Here's Mark walking.

Here are Eli and Mark clapping their hands.

Yeah for walkers! Way to go Mark :) and brag away Momma! :D

DH was an early walker (8 1/2 mo), and I actually had conversations with the girls asking them to not start until a little later, hee hee! They indulged me and started around at 11 months!

Yeah, the big down side to the early mobility is that we having serious baby proofing issues. We just went to BRU (hate that place but had a coupon) to see if we can find a gate that will work, since they are scaling the superyard.

I'm a big fan of JC Penny's Okie Dokie clothes. I haven't checked out the girls stuff, but the boys outfits have the nicest bright bold colors and patterns.

That's amazing!! My boys didn't walk until 14 months! I'm so impressed!!! Aren't your little men the ones who climb the superyard like it's a rock wall? Those are some seriously extreme athletes you've got there!

Yep that's my boys. They still scale the superyard. I tried putting the shoes on them, and that worked for about a week; now they climb the superyard with their shoes on. My DH caught one of them pushing the activity table up to the edge of the superyard and climbing up on top of the activity table. We're suffering from a baby proofing nightmare.

My DH was a track star; maybe he passed it on to the boys. :)

Congrats! I had an early walker as well. Sofia was 9.5 months when she started walking all by herself, she had been cruising and taking steps since 8 months. Poor Ryan crawled after her for about 2 months before he decided he could do it too.
