My 28 week appt.

Not as bad as I thought. I had to take the one hour glucose again, apparently a standard thing with my OB for high risk patients to redo the test in the third trimester. My great nurse from the hospital that took care of me when I had my cerclage is now a nurse at my OB's office. She got my blood drawn with one try (hurts like heck in the middle of your forearm - but hey, only one needle). DR did a manual cervix check today rather than tvu. Said my cervix is good and closed but pretty short, and cerclage is holding, . I'm scheduled for weekly visits and CL checks from now on. She is holding off on the steroid shots until closer to delivery, and she feels that with weekly appointments, they should be able to get them in me in time to do good. So all in all, not so bad. OH, and after losing 2 pounds last week, I gained 6 this week. yikes. but I can tell you ITS ALL BABY!!! She was teasing that we should start doing Fetal NON-movement monitoring rather than Fetal movement since he is going non stop.

 

I'm so glad to hear yoyr appt went well, What's great that the cerclage is holding strong, and weekly appt's is really good to keep an eye on things.
