Mushy Mommy Moment

I'm watching my babies sleep peacefully... infant sleep is the most beautiful thing in the world! Maybe because it's such an accomplishment... or maybe because it means that I might get some sleep, too, after all! But all selfishness aside, there's really nothing more heart-warming... other than maybe their smiles and giggles. I love them so much it hurts... but a wonderful, joyous, overwhelmingly deep kind of hurt!!!!

 

Oh I am tearing up. I know I love love love mine so much it hurts!! I have so been there. I love watching sleep too. I admit that after we rock to sleep sometimes I dont put them down for naps I just hold them for an hour and watch them sleep so soundly on my chest. The laundry can WAIT!!

Yes, they are angelic. I love when they fall asleep on my shoulder after eating and I've burped them, and i feel the weight of their heads get just a bit heavier.....kerPLUNK! and they're out.

Seeing them asleep in the carseats, heads turned to the side (the opposite side, hilariously); in the crib; my girls often sleep on their bellies with their little tushes in the air and their hands pressed close against them or under their hips.

It is a wondrous, delicious thing to be a mother to babies. And I count myself lucky every sngle day. Even when I'm exhused. Which would be - every single day!

Awwww! You should write this down in their baby book or print the post out to show them when they are older.
