    Hi ladies

Im here obsessing over every little symptom and today I have a question about the mucous plug.

I think I started to lose mine 2 days ago as I spotted orange (my usual white discharge with blood, I imagine). Ive been having this on and off since then. I told my midwife about it and she agreed that my body´s probably getting ready. Today I had a big blob of tan-coloured discharge too that looked just like what you find in your nose (sorry about all the TMI!!!). Ive been having false labour too - BHs & AF cramps here and there. I only had one proper contraction that was an AF cramp that extended round to my lower back - it got me out of bed. I havent had anymore since then. Oh & Im 35.4 days along. Im also having pressure down on my cervix.

What are your experiences with losing the mucous plug? How long did it take for you to go into labour after? (I know it can take days or even weeks).

    Thanks for sharing!

I lost my mucus plug the day before I went into labor, but I was also already 4cm dilated & 75% effaced. With my singleton I lost it 3wks before having to be induced so I really don't think it means much to loose it. Since the girls were my 2nd pregnancy I went super fast once things started to happen.

with ds#1 I lost it and went into labor 2 days later - with ds#2 I lost it and was READY I just knew I would have him but it was 3 weeks later! I never lost it with the twins - I agree that it means you are getting close, but just how close ???? could be tonight, could be weeks????

    CONGRATULATIONS!

I lost my mucous plug with DS at 33 weeks. He was born at 35w5d. My plug came out all at once but I never had any contractions, bloody show, etc. afterwards. I know it's different for everyone and I have no idea how it affects twin pregnancies. Good luck though!!

With my DD I lost it in the morning when I woke up and she was born the next day. I never had a chance with the boys.

    Thanks, girls, for your replies.

Still no sign of my babies coming though I am getting AF cramps every day off and on and what I think are BHs (its hard to tell at times if its the babies or BHs). Only nature will decide!! ;)
