mucous plug? TMI

So early this morning my fiance was getting ready for work in our bathroom so walked across the house to get ready in the other one to pee. I came back and had to crawl up into bed (we have a VERY tall bed) and I felt something weird down there. I can't wear underwear to bed anymore cause they dig into me really bad and leave painful marks. Anyways so I felt down with my hand and their was this clear mucousy thing on my hand. I grossed out because it was the same consistancy as a booger.
Could it have been my plug? I thought those weren't clear. I don't remember losing it with my son.
Is this really early to have lost it? I'm almost 32 weeks.

I still have to wait a couple of hours before I can call my dr, his office isn't open yet.

 

I lost mine at 32 weeks too. It was in my underwear and was kind of gray and very much like an enormous booger. Not to scare you but I delivered a few days later after having a vaginal exam by a dr at the er. If your dr. recommends one, I would decline or ask for the steroid shots to get the babies lungs ready.

My doc hasn't checked my cervix other than with the ultrasound because he says sometimes it will make things progress when they shouldn't. I do have an appt on the 10th. Hope everything will just stay calm, I have been getting a lot of bh these last few weeks.

 

It may have been your plug - or it could have just been some funky pregnancy stuff. You should call your dr. - esp since you have been having BH a lot lately!

Well talked to the nurse for my dr. She said that if it is it could still be alright. Just to come in if I'm leaking fluid or start bleeding. I can't tell if I am leaking or if its just pregnancy discharge. Also to come in if I'm contracting a lot and laying down and drinking lots of water doesn't help.
