    Hello,

My sweet babies are turning 3 on Saturday. My grandma asked about getting them Potato Heads. I saw on the package that they are for 2+. Do you think my kids will like these? I look forward to hearing your thoughts.

    Thanks!

Too many pieces! They didn't last long at my house!

My kids love them. We have several and they mix and match the pieces. It can make a mess, so get a container to keep all the parts in (they don't really fit in the butt). Until recently, we only got it out when everything else was cleaned up and they had to immediately put the parts up when they were done. It helped a lot and we've only lost a couple of things.

My kids got them as gifts at 2. The pieces don't stay in very well. Personally, I would pass.

My kids love them...I don't. LOL Sooooooooo many pieces all over the place and for some reason, the most recent ones they got, the pieces are really really hard to get in and out. Also, they are making them so much chinsier (sp?) than they used to be. The quality is much cheaper and the most annoying part is that it comes with this piece on the back of the potato heads that is suppose to be for storage of pieces but they CONSTANTLY pop off and it annoys the girls and they get frustrated (as do I). I will not buy them again for my girls. Too aggravating for me and them but they still like to pull them out from time to time and play with them.

My girls love them, but like everyone else I only pull them out for them once everything else is put away. All the little pieces drive me nuts!

My kids got them at their 2nd birthday party and love them. Since there are so many pieces, I limit playtime with them. I put all of the pieces in a bag and they are only allowed to play with Mr/Mrs Potatoe Head at that time and when they are done, all the pieces go back in the bag and it gets put away.

I'll have to get it down off the high shelf where it's hidden and try again, but so far my girls have usually fought over the pieces - which drives me nuts. I end up having to sit them back to back and give them each their own small pile of pieces.
    Here goes ...

OK just checked. 10 minutes of fighting and frustration (as the pieces are hard to put in far enough and the glasses keep falling off). But they did eventually solve their arguement themselves by one agreeing to give the other the disputed piece - which was very mature although was accompanied with a 'you're not my friend anymore' comment. I did have to sit there the whole time too.

So if your kids are the kind who don't get too frustrated and also don't fight too much (or maybe your mother could buy them two identical sets - we have a box of Mr, Mrs and Baby Potato head, so the pieces are all different) ... maybe it's a good thing. But there are definately things of an equivalent price which go better in our house ...

My girls got Mr. Potato Head for their 2nd birthday, and played with them everyday. But I have not seen them play with them since well before their 3rd birthday. I actually just mentioned yesterday I should get rid of them (I need to clean out toys).
