The past couple of days I have been feeling the babies or baby? move quite a bit.

I can feel Baby A all the time. I know when he rolls around I know when he scooches up in my ribs or sinks in my belly because my belly always gets harder in that area. Although Baby B I dont feel do that. All I feel every once in a while is MAYBE light kicks. I know that my placenta is on top with baby B rather than on bottom like with baby A.

My U/S tech said that since it is that way I may not feel Baby B as soon as Baby A because Baby A only has Muscle and skin to kick through while Baby B has to kick through placenta muscle and then skin for me to feel it.

I just had a u/s about a week ago and they were both healthy but I am just concerned that maybe one does not have the movement skills the other does. I never really paid that much attention at ultrasound appointments. Should I be concerned?

How far along are you? I think a lot of twin moms have felt like you have once in a while (I know I started to panic around week 24 when I wasn't feeling one move as much too). There are a lot of different explanations for it...the placenta being on top will definitely hinder some movement. Also, sometimes babies have more active days than others (for whatever reason -- they get tired too!). As long as you are still feeling some movement (even if it is just "light"), I think that is a good sign. Also, if the ultrasound shows good movement and no problem, then I think I would be less concerned as well. For me, the baby that didn't move as much before now moves more than ever...

I have the same thing as you. Baby A has a posterior placenta, but Baby B has anterior. So yes, it does make it more difficult to feel anything. Mine are also pretty close together, so sometimes I'm not sure who I'm feeling!

:hug99: It's so hard not to worry! If the ultrasound showed things were fine, just believe it! I agree with a pp, every twin mommy worries about not feeling one baby at some time or another. I remember feeling that way every so often, but things turned out fine. Good luck!

I went to my appointment two weeks ago and told the doctor I could really only feel one baby. Give it a few weeks ... now I feel them both. I was reading a book the other day, and they actually kicked me hard enough to knock it off my belly, LOL! I also have one baby with an anterior placenta and one with a posterior placenta. I started feeling them both right around 23 weeks. My husband got to feel them move for the first time on Thanksgiving. Now it's nonstop :)

I feel my baby A more then baby B-she is on my left side, heads up and facing inward, so her kicks are toward my back-if that makes since. Baby B is really active and he is heads down so his little feet are up in my ribs...that is not fun!
I will say that I didnt feel the girl much AT ALL until around 24/25 weeks, but always saw her moving like crazy on a sono.
It is hard not to worry...trust me I made a few calls to the OB before that 24 week mark.

    same boat....

baby a is a break dancer, moves all the tie in evey direction!!
    she is head down

baby b is much more subdued, only feel her kick less than half the time, she is breech on my left side.

they are sharing a placenta that is posterior(is that at your back?)

it is a little worrying, but last us 2 wks ago they were in the dr words "having a go at each other " thru the membrane, very funny to watch and i couldn't feel a thing!!

In the beginning, my DS was on top of my DD so it was hard to tell who was moving but as they got bigger it got easier to tell. But I did go in one time for not feeling my DS move when he was so active the day before. They were both fine. I too went to u/s appt's and they said look at that baby kicking or having hiccups and I couldn't feel it but it showed on the monitor. Just follow your intuition and go in if you are worried.
