This pregnancy has been different from all of my others in several different little ways, or maybe I just don't remember ESP since my last pregnancy was a twin pregnancy and I felt like I was pregnant with a giant octopus LOL! anyway, my last ultrasound showed that my placenta is anterior which I guess is a first time for me because I feel the baby move maybe a couple of times a day but only if I am laying or sitting and completely paying attention. Anyone else ever have an anterior placenta and not feel the baby much? If it was a previous pregnancy, when did you feel the baby more?

I usually felt one baby because of the placenta. It's normal. When did you feel the FIRST movement?

I felt the first movement maybe 3 weeks ago. I felt him more yesterday than I have been so I am really hoping that each day as he gets stronger I will feel him more and more. It just scares me when I don't! Half of the time I don't even feel very pregnant anymore I just feel fat!

With the twins twin b (ds) I felt ALL the time but with his sister I hardly felt her at all to the point that with each u/s I held my breath until the u/s tech said theirs her heartbeat. Her placenta was infront of her as well.

my placenta was anterior with the girls & i didn't feel a first movement until 21 weeks (i expect some of that time was not knowing what movement felt like because it was my first pregnancy). it's very common though to not be able to feel as much movement with an anterior placenta as it is essentially a giant pillow between the baby & you. i know it's hard, but try not to worry.

I'm impressed that you felt any movement at 13 weeks. I think that is super early. I never felt anything at all before 16 weeks and even then it was so faint and hardly ever. I felt nothing with my first until 21 weeks.
I didn't feel anything consistent until probably 18-20 weeks along, even with the twins.

Ohh, I hate that "not pregnant just fat" feeling.

ITA with this. Yeah, I didn't feel mine until 18 weeks then not reliably for another couple of weeks. I think you are ahead of the curve, Heather.

I had an anterior placenta with the twins and I could only feel regular movement toward the end of my pregnancy and never at the front of my belly where the placenta was, only on the sides and top.

I felt the twins very early. With my boys, 18 weeks was the soonest I really felt baby for sure. With this one, at 13 weeks I felt consistant little flutters but since my placenta is anterior and I assume it hasn't moved in 3 weeks? I don't know. Now, I feel him here and there I guess that makes since because he is so tiny and has a giant pillow in his way!!

thank you all! I feel better now!

I felt one twin at 12 or 13 weeks! And then not again for like a week and then I felt it constantly. I'm expecting to feel this on early, too. I hope I'm not disappointed :)
