i was just wondering if you ladies experienced minimal kicking and movement around 22 weeks. i figured by now they would be going crazy in there with jumping jacks and the like but no. i feel gentle movements periodically throughout the day and some days i don't feel much at all. when i do feel the jabs it's in my lower pelvic region. i started to feel the first movements around 20 weeks so i was just wondering if this was normal. and if so will the jabs get more frequent as the days/weeks go by?

and i should mention that my belly isn't that large (or wide from what i've been told). most everyone says that i look small for being 22 weeks preggo with twins.

so should i be concerned or do they just not have a lot of room to move around?

[SIZE=12pt]It sounds perfectly normal to me, plus these are your first children :) Don't worry, soon enough, the movements will NOT go unnoticed :D
And by the way, don't fret about the size or shape of your bump, it has absolutely no bearing on the movements you feel, you may also have an anterior placenta, which would be cuhioning the movements too

The bigger the babies get the more you will feel them. Depending on how they are positioned in your belly could also affect how much you feel them. Try not to worry about it. As long as you are feeling them move, everything is probably fine.

That's about how I was feeling around that time. I went to San Francisco around 25/26 and I clearly remember coming home from there and suddenly feeling a lot more movement. So...it's coming!!

I had an anterior fused placenta - and I'm fluffy so I didn't feel any "exterior" movement until 24 weeks - before that I felt alot of rolling...

I didn't feel a whole lot until a few weeks later than 22wks. And it does have a lot to do with where their placentas are.

Try not to worry like the PPs have said. I didn't start to feel anything until 24-25 wks, and it was only little tiny movements after eating a meal. As the weeks passed, they became more regular and "forceful" and now at 33 wks they are so active in there I think they may end up being world class gymnasts some day with all the practicing they are doing! Holy cow! Also, don't worry about your bump being too small. I get those comments all the time from non-medical type people, and my doctor said everything's fine, they are within range of where they should be. Babies will take what they need from mama. :)

I really didn't start feeling the girls kick until about 22 weeks and it was very minimal. Now at 29 weeks they have wrestling matches in there 24 hours a day it seems! I was really worried and getting frustrated that I couldn't feel them and everyone kept telling me that they would eventually start kicking like crazy (and they did) I have an anterior placenta. You might want to find out if you do too. Also, don't listen to people when they tell you that you look to small for how many weeks you are. People tell me that all the time and I felt like I was doing something wrong so I asked my dr and she said as long as they are weighing ok then she wasn't worried.(and thats what I tell people when they say I look to small to be having twins) Just be grateful people aren't asking you if your sure your not having triplets!! Haha people used to ask my sister when she was pregnant with my nephew if she was sure she wasn't having twins.

I wouldn't worry, I think you're only feeling about 10-20% of the movement prior to 25 weeks also

I think it was around 24/25 weeks that I began to feel them. I may have felt them earlier, but it just felt like gas! Even later on I didn't feel them all the time.

I did not feel much at all until 24 weeks and that was not even consistent or daily. Now at 28 weeks I feel them every day, but still not consistent. Doc says we won't even do kick counts until 32 weeks.
