For the last day or so the girls seem to be significantly less active...and I am starting to worry. At what point should the movemnet be fairly consistent? I have read that sometimes their movement will slow down when they are about to have a growth spurt, and I have even heard at this stage (23 weeks) is when they start their sleeping patterns, but is there any truth to either one of those?

I have tried drinking orange juice and laying on my left side and it didn't seem to make a difference. I am just a little concerned, and any words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

If I remember correctly my babies' activity sort of went in waves. There was always activity, some days more than others though. If you are concerned though, there is nothing wrong with calling your doc! There is something to be said for momma's peace of mind! :hug99:

Like the pp, my boys movement comes in waves, too, even now at 28 weeks. Last night when I went to bed, they were both very quiet, but around midnight they were rolling all over. I also feel Baby B much more- I think because he's transverse. I don't feel his brother as often. It's also possible your girl has changed positions so you're not feeling her quite as much. Try not to worry, but if calling your ob would make you feel better, then by all means- call (that's what they're there for!! :) Good luck!

I did not even feel baby A until week 28. She was so low down. I felt B all the time since 18 weeks. I do know that some days they move a lot then other days they dont move much at all. Like yesterday I did not feel mine moving much but today they are moving like crazy.

Mine were like Becky's post, and more so one twin than the other. But it never hurts to call the doctor if you are worried!

I felt this way last weekend and waited two days before visiting the dr on Mon morning. My transverse baby is/was so cramped by my ribs that he didn't have room to move! I just went to the dr and asked to hear the heartbeat, simply so I could sleep at night! The nurses were wonderful about it and even did a quickie u/s to make sure they were hearing the right baby.

i was worried about this as well, my ob said the movment can really vary, but by 27 weeks i should be doing kick counts, where at least 2 times daily i could feel 10 movement s in an hour, since i started doing this, i have more reassurance, but my babes still have active and quiet days. i notice right after a quiet day my belly starts sticking out more, so they must be growing!

    good luck!

My babies are very quiet during the day but when I lay down for bed they really get active. I can barely feel the one on the left kicking as he's head up and his kicks are so low I can barely feel them!
