I finally got BOTH twins down to one nap and they really are doing great! (Ugh, took two months on two different schedules, but we made it!) DD is sleeping about 1 to 4pm and ds is about 12:30 to 3. So, close enough and it gives me some 1 on 1 time with each. Anyway, the last couple days, they have started sleeping in really late! They used to get up at 7am or so. Right now, it is 8:15am and i still haven't heard a peep! Now, b/c their nap is fairly late, bedtime is between 7:30 and 8, but it alway has been and i just found it weird that they are getting up so much later. Has anyone else noticed their children sleeping later when switching to one nap? It's not like they are not getting enough sleep during the day.

    Just curious....

I just switched to one nap this week and so far I'm not seeing that but my hope was that they would make this nap longer so they would go to bed a little later and then get up later. It might take a while so we'll see if that's what happens...I have my fingers crossed.

I didnt notice much of a difference when they went to one nap. I have had to adjust their nap times a little but its been pretty good.

They wake up I say avg of 8am but I dont take them out right away, I cat nap and listen to them play. Nap time is usually 2pm (we do lunch 1230-1pm) and they will sleep until 4-430 or so and then bedtime is usually 9pm. My oldest will fuss on me once in a while but I just let him cio a little and he goes to sleep.

They're probably just making up on their sleep a little bit at night if they are still getting used to one nap. I wouldn't worry about it! Enjoy the quiet mornings :)

I didn't notice it that much when they went to one nap, but shortly after turning two, they started to sleep a bit later in the mornings. Instead of 6-6:30, it's now usually 6:30-7:00.

If they're overtired (because we've been keeping them up late, they aren't napping well at school, we've been really busy, or any number of reasons) or maybe just when they have a growth spurt, they'll sometimes have a few days when they sleep till 7:30 or later. (Not much later, because we have to wake them up for daycare.) So far, though, that hasn't become a regular thing. I never consider anything a "change" until it happens for at least a week in a row!

I bet it'll level back out. It can take more than 2 weeks to completely settle into a new schedule.
