Well, I moved the girls into their big girl beds this afternoon. I have been working on their room for awhile and just now got all the pieces together with the beds, rails, ets. While working on their room, about 2 weeks ago, Morgan fell out of her crib for the FIRST time, but it hadn't happened since. Then, 10 minutes before I was done getting ready this morning and then in to get them up, Reagan falls out of her crib. GEESH!!! I knew, since being home withthem today, that we would try it and see how it went.

Well, it went REALLY well!!! They were excited to go to their "new room." They were literally begging me! I kept them up until around 1:30 (they normally go down at 1) and let them get a little more tired than usual. They never one time got out of the bed...I was SHOCKED and SO impressed. However, they didn't fall asleep until 3:30 pm. I went in there a few times (they were just playing) adn told them if they didn't nap, they were going back in the cribs. They would both point to their new beds and say, "No crib mommy, this bed." Ok, then GET TO SLEEP GIRLS!!! I was sitting in the computer room (next to their room) and just listening to them the entire time. I wish I would've had a video camera in there, it was hilarious! They were peeking at each other through the mesh saying, "I see you sissy" and cracking up alughing. At one point they are both belting out the ABC song, they were singing Happy Birthday and then saying "Big Bird" and then counting REALLY loud (they LOVE doing that when Sesame Street is on). Then, I hear Reagan say, "Where's sissy...I see you! Haha!" I go in there again, Morgan is sitting behind the shades on the window ledge just laughing b/c she was hiding from Reagan. FINALLY, Reagan fell asleep...I still hear Morgan in there. So, I go in and Morgan was sitting in the corner biting her toe nails...what a GROSS habit, but I had to laugh. Then, Morgan finally fell asleep. Now, it's 4:50 and they NEED to get up, but I hate to wake them...but they need to be up by 5 or bedtime will be horrible.

So, all in all, it went great!!!!!! I'm just glad they stayed in bed...I do'nt care that they played back and forth, it was too cute. I'm sure the naps will get better once the "newness" wears off!

Here are a few pics...not that great, but at least they are in bed sleeping...lol.

This is Reagan...see her hair sticking out the blanket by the wall? LOL

Glad it went well! I think the switch to big beds is most dreaded to me, besides potty training.

Wow, that's great that it went so well!!

It must of been so cute listening to them
talking and playing (even though they
    were supposed to be sleeping!)

My guys are still enjoying their cribs
(and so are we) but it helps to hear
    positive transition stories like yours!

Yea!!! Way to go Becky!! Way to go girls!! It sounds like the first day went smoothly. Where did you get the guard rails? Did they come with the bed? If not, where did you get them and how much are they??

    Bridget :)

I got them at BRU...I think they were $34.99 each.

So far tonight has gone great. Put them down at 7:30 (b/c they were EXHAUSTED) and they were fast asleep by 8 pm and haven't heard a peep out of the. I NEVER thought it would be this easy (I hope I'm not jinxing myself). I dreaded twin beds and potty training...now we just need to start potty training...lol!

I love the color of their walls!! Cute!! I hope they do well!!

Mine still play and talk etc. That's why I am getting ready to separate them. After I get prepared for Christmas I can finish Martin's room and get the instigator out of the room and by himself!!
