Moucus plug lost, 80% effaced and 3 centimeters dilated...

As of yesterdays appt., I was 3 centimeters dilated and 80% effaced. I have not felt any contractions however. And my BP was up yesterday but no protein in my, so I have to do the 24 hour urine collection to make sure there isn't protein, yuck.
This morning, while (wiping) after my pee collection, I had a mucousy mess streaked with blood. I feel a bit nauseous and anxious. Of course the anxiety may just be cause my BP was up and then I freak out about the number which then tends to make it go higher.....LOL.

Does this mean delivery will be coming soon? Any thoughts? What else should I be feeling?

OMG! It's getting close!

Did your doctor check you yesterday, to see you were dilated? I am not sure how close this means, but it seems you are much closer than me, who has nothing going on at all so far.

With my daughter I was 3 cm dialated for 3 weeks and was loosing my mucus plug for 2 weeks. But it doesn't necessarily mean you will be experiencing the same thing, remember everyone is different.

 

Keep us posted on what happens! I'm about a week behind you, 80% effaced, 2 cm dilated and starts losing my plug this morning. I'm also feeling kind of weird (also anxious and a little nauseous and my BP is 100/60) and am having contractions but not regular enough to time. They seem to be more constant than coming in waves. I'm trying to decide whether or not to call the doctor or just ride them out. Would love to hear what you decide and what happens. It is SO uncomfortable at this stage!

 

I was where you are now for two weeks before I was sent to L&D by my Dr. I contracted for 4 weeks before I delivered.

Woo hoo! At least youre making some progress! I was 80% effaced with no dilation this morning. No sign of mucous plug either. It's still a race to the finish for us! Keep us posted.
