I wasn't very sick my first time. I was exhausted all the time and had to eat every couple of hours. I did throw up but maybe a dozen times or so. I did feel nausas(sp) but not 24 hours a day. I hate feeling like this. I guess I assumed I would feel like my first pregnancy but I so don't. Trying to deal with my almost 3 yr olds while DH is working 80 hour a week and I feel like this is hard. I don't have any family close so I dont' get any help from them. How am I going to do this for another 5 weeks?

When I was pregnant with my twins, I felt sick to my stomach all the time during the first trimester and hardly had an appetite. I had to stick to bland foods (toast, eggs, yogurt) and had saltines and flat ginger ale at my bedside so I could nibble and drink on them before I got up for the day.

Many hugs. I have had a horrible pregnancy with my singleton and can't wait to be done in a few weeks! I got so sick that my condition actually put me in the hospital for four days and on IVs for 2 months. The week between Christmas and New Years I lost 14 lbs and could not keep any liquids or solids down. I am still taking Zofran and have been since late December.

So my adivce is you are definitely in the peak morning sickness stages. Hopefully it will pass for you in a few weeks or by the 14th week at the latest. I would recommend eating small meals and very frequently and do try ginger ale. Also for some reason minty items like after dinner mints and spearmint gum seemed to help me. If it gets really bad I definitely second the Zofran or Reglan to help with the nasuea. Hang in there. It is hard just being pregnant let alone when you have to care for 3-year-old twins.

I went with drugs too... up here it's diclectin that they prescribe, and I would not have made it through without.. and I didn't have toddlers to take care of. Hang in there, hopefully it passes soon!
