Morgan said her first "phrase!"

Morgan finally said her first phrase!! I was beginnging to think her speech might be a little muffled b/c of all of her ear infections she's had over the past few months, but I'm beginning to take that all back. She's been picking up on new words like crazy. We have to really start watching things around her.

Tonight DH was leaving to play poker with some friends. I was holding Morgan and as DH is leaving she was blowing him kisses and waving...then she says (plain as day too) "Bye bye daddy!" It was the SWEETEST thing I had ever heard!! It's weird hearing more than one word!

 

How sweet is that?! WTG Morgan for saying your first phrase and melting your Mommy's heart!

 

Awww... cute! The first two word phrase Bea said (it was actually signed) was "Daddy potty".

That's great BeckY!! It's so fun!! It really starts rolling after about 20 mos. (at least for us!) Now it's new words everyday. Just last night DH had them saying "awesome" too cute!!

 

Just this week it seems they have both hit a new word learning phase!! We have these little board books with "home" items...so this week they have picked up the words highchair, potty, wash (for the word sink)...the best is when they see the picture of a crib they both yell "nigh nigh!" It's hilarious!!!

Morgan is trying to repeat every short phrase that DH and I say...she's been non-stop today.

 

how cute! Jazz's first phrase was "do this" at about 13 months and she didn't connect words again till the other day at 1 months which was "Where's Pa?"

Awwww! That is so cute! Mine do the "nigh nigh" when they see a pic of someone sleeping.

My daughter's first "phrase" was 'chokat cookie' (chokat=chocolate) when I asked her what she wanted for her post-nap snack. Yep, she's MY girl alright!

 

So cute!! Just wait-- the phrases and words will start coming at full force now!
