We have the drop in's as well and use the disposable liners from walmart. We give ours 7 ounces and at times, they actually have had 8 when my husband measures. We go by the lines on the bottle bag and not the bottles. As for the clothes, we're 7 1/2 months and already in up to 12 month clothes so i'm not sure if i can help with that.

I can't help with the bottle question, but as far as clothing goes, 12 month clothing is 9-12 months. 9 months is 6-9 months. 18 months is 12-18 months. 24 months is 18-24 months. You get the picture. [IMG]

My boys get 8 ozs. at every bottle and sometimes will take 9 ozs. at their nighttime bottle. It all depends on how much they eat in solids that day.

We use Dr. Browns bottles and they hold 8oz maximum.

I also use the playtex drop ins and I believe 8oz is to the top of the bottle. At least that is what I was told.

We used Avent bottles, and they fit 8 oz, but I don't know about the Playtex ones. I never used the markings on the liners, though -- we actually had a scale (my husband is a scientist -- he likes to measure things).

I had a problem with clothes around that age, too. I think I even complained about it here... There are some brands that make 9-12 month sizes, but then all brands are different as far as sizing anyway. My twins are now 14 months -- some of their pants are supposedly 3-6 month sizes, some of their shirts are 18-24 months! You kind of just have to keep trying. But I've always found that pants sizes are much bigger than shirts (or maybe my girls just have abnormally short legs -- which is possible given that DH and I are short!).

You may also want to try different manufacturers. Some run bigger or smaller than others.

We fed 8 oz. bottles from 3 months until 10 months, when they reduced the amount that they would eat.

I don't know about playtex but Avent makes a 9 oz bottle which is what we are currently using but I would never rocommend these bottles as they leak and you need to take Avent bottles 101 to learn the freakin science of how to put the bottle together so it won't leak. I'm in the process of starting to try them on sippy cups so we drop the bottles asap. Though I'm sure I'm months and months away from that time.

Top of the bottle is 8 oz. We use the Playtex drop ins too.

I also thought that the top of the Drop-Ins was 8 oz. The breast usually holds about 7 oz of milk so that is a good number to be feeding them.
