Hey everyone. I just joined and this is my first post. I am 30 weeks pregnant with mono mono twins. This whole time I was told I would have a scheduled c-section at 32 weeks. But now all the sudden they are saying 34 weeks. I am emotionally drained about it all. I've been in the hospital and away from my 21 month daughter for the last month and I'm going nuts. This whole time they had us convinced that 32 weeks is the safest thing to do. Now they're saying differently! I just don't know what to believe. That's an extra 2 weeks that something can go wrong. Anyone else out there have mono mono twins? When are you scheduled to deliver? Or when did you deliver?
    Thanks

I don't have MoMo either, but I did want to congratulate you on making it so far. I've heard of a lot of ladies going sooner than 30 weeks with theirs and that's GREAT that you've made it so far!

I also want to give you lots of  because I can only imagine how hard it is to be away from your kiddo. I'm worried about the few days I'll be in the hospital away from mine after delivery, so I have no idea how you've done it for so long! You're a strong woman! Hang in there Mommy!

Hi, I've got now 2 1/2 year old mono girls. I delivered at 32+2. I understand how you feel - 34 weeks was offered to me and I just couldn't cope with the extra two weeks. I was only on 3x day monitoring and our neonatal unit was very comforable with 32 weekers. While I don't regret my decision now I felt terribly guilty once they were in neonates - however we were a rare case with no cord entanglement at all so I was pretty sure that we would have made it to 34 weeks with no issues. Of course this was only discovered at delivery!

My suggestion is that you do a tour of NICU and see the difference between 32 weeks and 34 weeks and maybe have a talk with a neotologist (spelling?) about the difference - it might help to make your mind up.

I had a then 2 year old at home and I wish I had known how easily she would bounce back to having Mummy home. She was back to normal pretty much instantly.

Congratulations you are on the home stretch and it won't be long until this is all a distant memory!
