I'm almost 14 weeks pregnant with twins... and I posted this over on the expecting site, but thought you all who've had your babies would know a little better! Right now my Dr. thinks I'm monochorionic/diamniotic. So does this mean my babies are identical?

Yes. Thirteen weeks is still early enough for the Peri to be able to tell. You are having identicals!! CONGRATS!!

Yes, mono/di are identical (my boys are mono/di)! Some people will tell you that you can't know for sure if twins are identical or fraternal until birth, but that is because di/di twins can be either. Mono/di are always identical. Congrats and make sure your doctor is measuring your fluid levels at least every other week to watch for TTTS. Also, get lots of protein to help that placenta stay healthy!

My guys are identical mono/dis. . . the downside of us being for sure that they were id was the TTTS! I feel a little cheated sometimes that mine are id's but I can still easily tell them apart due to the size difference from the TTTS. I really wanted to look at them and be confused, haha! Seriously, I am just thankful to have them both!

My boys are mono/dis! It's such a blessing to be a mom of twins, it is so rewarding! CONGRATS! I never had their DNA tested but my specialist told me that they were monochorionic, although I can definitely tell them apart because one is about 2lbs bigger. :itwins_boys:

We also have mono/di boys and yep, they're very identical. :)

Congratulations! It might seem a little overwhelming right now, but it's really so much fun!
