Just curious when you stopped using yours? Our room and the boys room sit side by side but we sleep with the doors closed bc of the cats. I can hear them cry without it but I would miss their early morning "chats" with each other I think without it.

I stopped using mine during the FY because my monitor would keep me awake (we have a video one). Our bedrooms are close enough that even with the door closed, I could still hear them.

I still use ours and have no plans to stop. I imagine I'll use it for several more years.

we only use ours when we're downstairs & they're in bed. our bedroom shares a wall with theirs so once we go to bed we don't use a monitor & really never did. in fact, we started having to use a white noise machine in our bedroom because we can hear them so well (sometimes, i swear, i can hear them breathing). i just keep it on low enough to drown out their little sounds - when they really need me, i know. ;)

We only use it during the day/evening... when we're in the tv room. our room is clustered with theirs too, so we have never had the monitor on in our bedroom. Things may change when they move to toddler beds... I'm sure that has its own issues...

I still use it. We sleep with a fan on in our room for white noise and if I didn't have the monitor on I wouldn't hear them cry. I have it right next to my bed so I don't miss them if they cry.

I only used it at night the first week we brought them home from the hospital almost 2 years ago! I'm a very lite sleeper and every little whimper would keep me awake. Our bedroom was right next to theirs so there was no issue of hearing them when they cried.

The only time I use it now is if I need to go outside while they are napping. Our house is small enough so I can hear them in almost every room.

We only use ours when we're in the basement, never at night. They let us know when they want up

I stopped using it in our bedroom when they were around 20 months because their early morning talk became a LOUD scream for me and it wasn't fun waking up to that (well, so loudly!) I can hear them without it so I got rid of it. I still use it so I can hear them while they are playing upstairs and I'm downstairs.

I have a video monitor with a seperate handset that is sound only... and I intend on using it until they either move out or go to college.

If I was right next to their room I wouldn't use it. But, both of my kids' rooms are on the opposite sides of the house. I have one for the twins' room and another for my 2.5 year old.

We have video monitors and turn the volume down at night since we can hear them cry from our room. We love the video aspect though...how else would I have known the reason my DD wasn't napping today was because she had stripped herself completely naked! :) Love the video!!

We still use ours and their bedroom is right next door but I still like to be able to hear coughs and stuff. I'm such a freak about them choking. LOL I have it low enough where I don't hear every little noise...just the loud ones and I use it during the day. I plan on just getting a new monitor for the new baby because I'm not ready to give up monitoring the twins anytime soon. Maybe when they're 2ish. LOL Maybe. :)
