If you had a C-Section and the babies did not need any NICU time did they go into the room with you and your husband right away?

They were cleaned up and were brought to our room ASAP! This mostly happened while I was getting stitched up. It wasn't long before we had the babies with us in recovery.

    eta: :hi: Welcome to Twinstuff!

Yes, they did. They went to the SCN for a check and then were released to us...

I was able to hold DS1 as I was wheeled to my room. With the twins, I wanted to wait until the drugs wore off (they had to put me under, because the spinal block didn't take and I was *really* woozy), but was given the option to see them as soon as I was ready.

Mine were taken to the nursery....one by dad, to be cleaned up, weighed, and do their routine stuff while I was being stitched up. I was then wheeled back to my room for recovery and they joined me about an hour later...so yes they did.

They, along with DH, went to the nursery to be cleaned up and checked and then came to the room. Though we sent the girls back to the nursery at night so we could get some rest before heading home to the land of no sleep!

i just got back from the doc's and she said our boys might end up joining me in recovery, depending on the timing of everything.

Mine were cleaned up, weighed and brought right to me. I had them in the room any time I could. At my hospital c/s moms with twins could not have both babies in the room unless someone was there to help them. And the babies slept in the nursery (when they weren't being brought in to nurse). I heal very well, but was just as glad to let the nurses change them at night after they nursed.

Yes, they were brought into recovery with me and were weighed and looked at by the pedi while I looked on.

Dad and babies went to nursery while I was getting put back in order, and then he joined me in recovery. Babies joined us once I was in a regular room, about 45(?) minutes later. But he got to hold them both, and I got to kiss them before they went to the nursery.

They got cleaned up while I was gettting sewn up (DH went with them -- I had them knock me out, so it didn't matter to me) and joined us in the room about an hour later. We kept them in the room during the day but sent them to the nursery at night. We could have kept them with us all night, but we both really needed to rest.

The boys were cleaned up and checked in the OT and DH and the anesthetist's assistant held them while I was stitched up. The boys were with me as I was wheeled out of OT and into Recovery. They were only taken away to have a bottle as their sugars were going down and were back with us after that.

Our baby B had to be in the special care nursery for 4 hours because of breathing problems due to being a c-section baby (they told dh that this is pretty common with c-section babies) but I was in recovery for about that long and was unaware of this - so by the time I got to my room - it wasn't long they brought the girls to me and they stayed with us the entire time!!

I can't speak for myself yet, but my sister's twins (born at 36 weeks) came back to their room immediately following the c section. They spent their entire stay together in their hospital room.
