I'm finding CIO to be more difficult than I expected, maybe because my boys (4 months old) aren't ready for it yet, maybe because my DH is never home at bedtime to support me thru the worst of it.

Some nights my boys go to sleep with no problems, just a cuddle and they put themselves to sleep. Other nights (like tonight) I'm on hour 3 and I have one still awake and one I let fall asleep in the swing.

I've been researching other sleep training programs and came across "Moms on Call" but can't find much out about thier program. What's thier philosophy? Is it worth $30? Did it work for you?

Haven't heard of that one but  for having to handle bedtime on your own! I know it can be so stressful & exhausting.

 sleep is such a huge thing, isn't it? i don't know about Moms on Call but we paid a lot more than $30 for our sleep trainer which really strained the budget - looking back now though, i would have paid 3x as much for her help & expertise. she was amazing. you can check out her website here. i think if you can get the help & support you need & it's only going to cost $30 i would go for it. GL!

I am a Moms On Call devotee! They are two pediatric nurses from Atlanta who have books, web seminars, and telephone consulting for babies and toddlers. They'll do in-home consults in you are in Atlanta. I read the book, took the online class, and did the personalized phone consultation, which also gave me six months of email access to them for any questions I had. I've asked fifty-plus questions about schedules, weird rashes, travel questions, early wake up times, feeding questions, fever, etc. I talk to Jen who has her own set of twins, plus two more children.

They are CIO advocates to eliminate the middle of the night feedings, and have similar methods as the Healthy Sleep Habits Happy Child book, as far as I can tell. I did CIO at 4.5 months and had two rough nights and it has been bliss since. They told me it takes a maximum of three days to set any new habit, and you have to see yourself at day four enjoying the new habit, be it sleeping through the night without a feeding, dropping bottles, dropping pacis, getting back on schedule after vacation, etc., and stay consistent with changing the habit during that time.

I'm about to take their on-line Toddler seminar and figure out the world of Time-Outs, etc.

I've also not heard of that particular service but for $30 I think I would give it a try!
