I might have to pull my girls out of day care and that means maybe they will have to stay at home till September. Am wondering how your day is with similar age children at home.
Do you have a set schedule you follow? What activities do you do with them? How does your day go by?
Thanks so much for your help.

Honestly, I don't follow a schedule. I just kind of go with the flow. The only thing I try to keep to a fairly strict schedule is their nap time but even sometimes I have to adjust that according to what time they wake up or if we do have a playdate. I'm not one to say "OMG, I have to go right now, it's nap time." If they are playing and having fun and don't seem tired than I will stay a little longer. That's just a lifestyle that works for us. Things that we do during the day may include a playdate (either someone coming here or us going to someone's house), going to the library (check your local library they may have some good programs for toddlers), and when the weather is warmer, we will go to the park a lot more or out in the backyard. I will also often have some coloring/painting time and now and then I will run an errand with them. They have a VTech Smile Baby which the love and are learning so much from so I let them play with that. Other than that, they spend much of the day playing with their toys. I know some people are very into schedules and I'm actually surprised with myself that I am not since I was a kindergarten teacher before becoming a sahm. In that profession you have to be VERY scheduled but they are not in school and I just go by them.

Thanks Melanie. good to hear that some do it without a schedule. with the new baby arriving soon i can't see how we would be able to follow a strict schedule anyway :D

We have a schedule but if they are playing good we will push lunch off a little bit and on the other hand if they are being crankey we will do lunch early.
but our day is based around this
7-7:30am wake up, diaper change, eat, play in our living room/play area watch cartoons :)
9:30 ish 1st nap of the day (yes they still take two)
11ish wake up from nap - play in there room, go play outside if its nice out. snack.
    1ish lunch and second nap
3ish wake up, snack, play room in our basement or outside play
depending on the weather we can be outside a while.
by 5pm i put on the wiggles tape so they can wind down and i can get dinner ready
    6pm dinner
    bath
    milk and
    bed by 7-7:30pm
we adjust our schedule as needed thru the day. but keep what happens next pretty consistant. like they always know after lunch they go for a nap.
I try to move to different rooms thru the day and get outside as much as possible (they love outside)
    Hope that helps :)
of course there are many diaper changes inbetween :)

    wake 7/8am
    nurse
    8:30am breakfast, milk sippy
    12 lunch
    1-3 nap
    3pm sippy
    5pm dinner
    7pm bedtime

Normally we play in the morning and run errands after breakfast. Then after the nap we play outside, go to park, go for a walk. No planned activities, we do what works for that day :)
We do go to playgroup twice a month and lately often to the zoo.
