I have both twins in a MDO program once a week for a few hours. DD has had a cough and DS is fine. Tomorrow is MDO and I was wondering if DD is not well enough, should I bring just DS? They are not completely used to it yet and still have crying jags. DD still would rather not go so I don't want to confuse her like she is getting her way and DS is going. But it would be easier to have just 1 with me since I have things to do. WWYD?

I've sent just 1 kid to daycare when the other had an illness or drs appt. It doesn't work great...... they miss each other. But I also think it's impt for them to get separate and individual time. We make a point of splitting them up Sunday mornings. Each of us takes 1 and does something special for a couple hours. They get 1on1 time and a break from each other.

so my answer to your ? is YES. what's the worst that could happen? You'd have to go pick up your son early?

We just started daycare for ours for three hours in the morning three days a week, one of those days they go individually so they have mommy time to themselves one morning a week. I can't tell you how it's going, tomorrow is the first morning we seperate them. DD couldn't care less when I leave them in the morning but DS has a harder time, so he might not take it as well. However, we feel it's something important for them to learn and at 19 months I think they can handle it. There are only 4 other kids than mine where we go and one of them was a friend before we started even. Good luck! I say go for it! IT won't be the end of the world...

Thanks-- she woke up with no cough.. I guess they are both going but I was just going to send him, if needed.
