Well, I am craving adult interaction soo badly! Cabin fever is so bad right now. A friend I know really wants me to join a Mom's Of Preschoolers (MOPs) club, but I cannot seem to get out the door at the time they meet (9 am). I have a 3 year old DD too, as well as my 5 mo twins.

I really want to get together with other mom's with twins...I think they could more relate. I feel like my friend thinks I am just making excuses as to why I can't make it to the MOPs meeting. But, really, it is just a bad time of day for us.

AnywAYs, does anyone belong to MOM's?? Do you like it?

I belong to our local Mothers of Multiples Club and LOVE it!!! I have made some great friends!! It's also nice because they have age specific play dates and I started when the twins were infants so it was so nice to go to someone's house that had twins or triplets and they looked just as exhausted as I did! Now that mine are 3y, we are still friends and I'm actually able to get out and do movie nights with our group and play bunko.
    Good luck!

I loved Mom's Club when I first moved here (before twins). I don't belong anymore b/c I joined a parent of multiples group and think that may be more helpful. I love MOPS too- they have childcare which is key. Also, my Bible study through church has childcare too. It's great to get out and be with moms and also have people to love on your babies for free.

I love my MoM's group. Its just so nice to relate to other twin moms. All the moms go out once a month for dinner, we have playdates, some age appropriate some mixed ages. We have couples night once a year. I would highly recommend it!

My twins were actually 2 1/2 when I joined mine, but I am still active in it. I have made some great friends and it gets me out of the house at least once a month. I even get a weekend away every November for a weekend for our state convention.

I highly recommend joining a local MOM group. I first went when I was pregnant and wasn't sure if I would like it, but I was wrong. There are 5 or 6 ladies whose twins are close in age and we all share info between us. We meet once a month, have holiday parties, a mothers day luncheon and there are monthly play groups as well. They also arrange for speakers to come in.

The group is one thing that has helped my sanity the first year.

I say exactly what she says...I wasn't sure it was for me when I was preggers but it has been a sanity saver. I joined our local Multiple Births association and met the ladies I meet with through that. We just met up yesterday...there were 6 of us...14 kids in total (CRAZY!). 6 sets of twins, my DS and another womans DS the same age as mine. It's usually a bit nuts when we get together (the twins all range in age from about 6-12 months right now) but we all get so much out of it. It's so nice to talk to other mom's who are going through the same things as you. We meet about once a month for play dates and have Mom's nights out every 6 weeks or so and in between there are lots of emails with questions, concerns and stories. I am so happy I have met all these ladies and recommend it to everyone I meet with twins/expecting twins.

You ladies made me reconcern about this. We have a big twin mom group here.I checked out the website but decided not to join. I'm just too busy with full time job, the house, the kids,..and I wasn't sure its for me lol. I still don't want to join in this winter. I don't want my kids share germs haha. So I might join later on in may or something.

Oh I noticed there're so many twins in my town, many.

Joining MOPS is the best decision I ever made! LOVE IT! It's worth getting up earlier! Seriously.

I've joined other moms groups too, but MOPS is FAR AND AWAY the greatest!

GL! I figure, anything that gets you OUT is good!

I felt the same way too with a full time job and 3 kids. But my MOM group has a online yahoo group. So I can still connect with other moms.
