Mole on head

Zoe has a dark mole on her head. I am pretty sure it hasn't gotten any bigger, but it has gotten darker. It isn't raised or bumpy, but I am worried. We have an appointment on May 4th with the derm to get it looked at, but I am going to be sick between now and then. How likely is it, that it could be bad? She has never really had a true sunburn and I ALWAYS keep her head covered...please someone ease my fears....

 

Try not to worry before it's time! I know that's not much help, but what are you accomplishing by making yourself sick? They will likely just watch it and wait to see if it raises or changes. Also, it might not be that hard to just remove it! Hang in there and think of other stuff till that appt. comes around!! :hug99:

 

Thanks so much, but it is hard. It doesn't look raised, just dark. It isn't asymetrical, but I wouldn't say it is perfectly round either. I swear there is always something to worry about.

 

How long has she had it? Both my girls got their birth marks after birth so it may just be a birth mark. I have a brown birthmark right in the middle of my fore head

 

Try not to worry till you have it checked. Jason has 2 on his head & there is nothing wrong with them.

 

She has had what I thought was a freckle there for awhile. It just looks darker now. It doesn't necessarily look bigger, just darker in the middle. It is so hard to not worry. She is such a fair skinned child and to top it all off she is allergic to sunscreen!
