Mobiles?

What did you do about mobiles? I will probably be putting both babies in their own cribs. They will both be in my room as I don't have an empty room for a nursery. I am wondering do I get two of the same, or two different, or only put a mobile in one crib? I would think that the sound of the other mobile would be distracting if they were on at the same time, but I think the baby without one would get more fussy. I really want the Fisher-Price - Rainforest - Peek-a-boo Leaves Musical Mobile It has a remote so I don't have to get up to turn it on. I am not set on it though, so I am willing to switch to another mobile option if it makes more sense.

We used two of the same kind and turned them on simultaneously. We used those for a few months. We now use only the soothers in each crib. I would suggest maybe just using these if you are looking into efficiency. I hope I've helped :).

Mine shared a crib until 4.5 months, then we put one in each crib for a while... but I found that after 4 months mobiles seemed to distract them and over stimulate them and definitely didn't help them sleep, so I went with soothers instead. They were great around 2-3 months though. I'd get two, and put one with the music off, I know it's an option with the fisher price rainforest one.

WE have the Fisher-Price - Rainforest - Peek-a-boo Leaves Musical Mobile. We have one in each crib. We turn them on one after another, they aren't that loud so it's never bothered my girls, they love them. They are really nice b/c you can take the mobile top off when they are too od for them and just use the music base. I love mine, I would get 2.

Mine shared a crib until they were about 3 and a half months, with the Fisher Price Rainforest mobile you're talking about. They loved it when they were really tiny, it helped them to go to sleep, but now its more of a distraction. We've still never used the remote. When we split them up (operation divide and conquer), we kept the mobile in one crib, and put their Fisher Price rainforest soother in the other crib. I don't think that soothes them much either, but it buys me a few minutes in the morning to get their bottles ready before I pick them up.

I didn't want to buy anymore baby equipment, but we only had one mobile. So I am using a mobile in one crib (no baby in their yet, both babies are in bassinettes in our room still) and this musical light-up thing in the other crib. I will switch them every so often.

Honestly, we didn't buy mobiles. We had intended to, but it just never happened. We did however have a stuffy that plays music. They each had one. They are in my bedroom too, we also don't have an empty room for the twins! It was a little "noisy" when both would play, but the babies didn't seem to mind as much as I did! LOL!

I was given two but I use them as music boxes rather than mobiles as it overstimulates my two! Also one of them is quite noisy when it turns so I always end up removing it as DD cant sleep with it clacking!

My two sleep separately during the day (together at night) so having two is pretty useful.
