Mobiles and cribs...

So, I had these really cute Chicago Cubs mobiles I got for my shower, I put them together and they ended up not fitting on my crib....very annoying but I was able to take them apart and stuff them in the box fairly easily and take them back.
Then I bought a Rainforest mobile and it did fit and it's very cute. So, now that the boys are almost ready to sleep in their own cribs, I went out and bought another mobile, also by Fisher Price but the aquarium theme, thinking it would fit.....put it together (total pain in my rear) and it DIDN'T fit......UGHHHH....I'm SOOO annoyed. So now I have to take it apart and try to fit it into the box and trek all the way back to Babies R Us (in the cold and snow) and return it....along with the new Playtex bottles I got yesterday before I saw the thing on the news about BPA in the bottles....UGH. Why can't the mobiles be made to fit all crib types? :angry:

sorry you're having trouble with your mobiles. just wanted to say DH wanted to get our freinds the chicago cubs mobile cuz the father-to-be is a HUUUUGE white sox fan (total cubs hater) DH is a huge cubs fan, and i really could care less cuz i hate baseball!

Oh, that would be hilarious!! Personally I hate baseball, too....actually any sport for that matter

lol same here! of course if we have a boy next, i can expect his room to be decorated in Purdue cr*p! (dh's school) blaaaah!

 

Maybe don't get a mobile - we put ours to sleep in their cribs - not so they were entertained - they knew it was sleep time not play time - they've been sleeping through from 3 mos and 1 week. Now they do play in their crib during the day -I'll put toys in there - but the mobiles never soothed them or anything. I kind of think it was a waste. Just my opinion - I'm sure others disagree - good luck!

We didn't hardly use our mobiles, either. Sorry you have to make so many trips to get everything sorted out, though. I hate it when that happens to me.

 

We just have the rainforest moving/singing thing that attaches to the side of the crib. We also got the aquarium one, but it didn't fit. It's okay b/c only one boy likes it. If nothing else, the boxes should say what types of standard cribs it fits.

 

My babies LOVE their mobile!! They have the fisher price ocean wonders. I also dress them in the crib in the morning and the fish have names and talk to the babes every morning and make them smile and giggle. We're still not sleeping in the nursery FT, but when they do get put down in there the mobile soothes them.

When we do move them to the nursery we'll probably split them and I'll need to get another mobile. I've been looking around and trying to decide if I should get the same thing or something different. I never considered that it might not fit on the bed. Hmmmm...

 

We never had mobiles--they didn't fit our cribs either. I agree---super annoying! I remember putting this ridiculously elaborate baby einstein mobile together only to find that not only did it not fit...it was crazy ugly. I was too frustrated to even attempt a different one!

We had the Tiny Love mobiles, and loved them. If I remember right, they have a buy one, get one free, for twins discount also.
