I just found out about these Miracle Blankets on this site. I actually don't really know what they are or what is so special
    about them.
Could you ladies give me your opinions? We swaddle with our regular blankets. Should we be using the Miracle Blanket instead?

Oh how the Miracle Blankets saved my sanity!!!
We started using them around 2mths or so (don't remember exactly right now) and they really started sleeping so much better with them.

The Miracle Blankets are a lot harder for them to get out of or unswaddled. There's a pocket for the feet and then it wraps around the baby.

My opinion is that they are worth every penny. I wish I had two each instead of 1 each.

The miracle blanket helps keep the arms in (though mine can now break free of these too). There's little arm flaps that fold around the arm and under the back, so the weight of the baby keeps the arms from moving (mine now knows to lift her butt up and pull out). There's a little video clip of how it works on their website - www.miracleblanket.com

I loved these! It took me awhile to break down and buy two for each baby, and I wish I would have done it sooner. My mom called them little baby straightjackets and my MIL thought it was mean to "trap" our babies in the blankets. But I didn't care because the MB worked.

We didn't have much luck with them or any of the velcro swaddlers. By the time we left the NICU we were pretty good with the regular blankets and seemed to do as well with that. We would feed them and they would fall asleep then we would swaddle them. With the miracle blankets and kiddopotamus things I always woke them up.

They also didn't seem to stay "trapped" in those any longer than the regular swaddle. Of course by the end the only thing that would keep them in was if DH did the swaddling extra tight with an extra large receiving blanket. A bigger miracle blanket might have worked better then, but I never bought big ones.

I know I'm in the minority - most people LOVE them.

Mine are 10 weeks old. Is it still a good time to use them, or have I missed the boat?

I started using these around 8 weeks and LOVE them! My DD can get out of any blanket and the miracle blanket has been the best for her not getting out. Occasionally I will find her with one arm out, but that is only when my husband wraps her and I don't think he does it tight enough. In my opinion they are the best swaddling blanket out there. I don't think 10 weeks is too late. My sisters used them up till like 6 months.
I would definitely get a few.
